We atheists love our children.

We respect the rights of others.

We want to make the world a better place for everyone.

Why do christians always seem to think a godless soceity would be lacking in morals?

Morality is a complete set of ethical rules which is both imposed on the individual by an outside influence and total in its approach - one either lives by all of it all the time or not at all.

A secular person can have a complete, coherent and workable set of ethics, some of which are borrowed from older moral codes and some of which are personal developments, to replace the old morality. We can of course strive to teach other people our own ethics, and convince them that they are the best of any other system. However, unlike with morality, there is very little that we can do to force our ethics on anyone else. So no, a atheist cannot have morals, but there's no reason to assume that they cannot have ethics. Then again, whose ethics ultimately be enforced as it would be subjective to individuals?

This society, regardless of the hype, is largely Godless.

Satan is the prince of the air; such is his influence over people here.

Look at the numbers of teen pregnancy. look at popular entertainment. Look at the numbers of lazy people on the dole who refuse to take responsibility for their own behaviour and therefore blame everyone else for the sorry state of their lives. look at the fokks who are hollering racism when someone threatens to stop giving them handouts when they won't get a job. Look at all all the liberals who are trying to make it illegal for people to defend their family and home against intruders with deadly force (guns).

Sorry babe, but you are terribly misguided. I am a gay woman, even so I know that Jesus is Lord. I would hope that you would read the gospels and get to know him.

The lovely and talented Frank Zappa was silly enough to be an athiest. I say WAS because, as you may know, he left the physical realm some time ago. Wherever he ended up, he is now surely a believer.

Even Satan believes in God.

Really? Then why do we have today the most violent environment I have ever seen? As Christian influence and principles are being eliminated, it gets worse. Doesn't take rocket science to figure it out. What you see is the Godless influence of people who are as selfish thinking as there ever has been. Respect the rights of others? You have to be kidding or in delusion.

I found this interesting;

"In general, higher rates of belief in and worship of a creator correlate with higher rates of homicide, juvenile and early adult mortality, STD infection rates, teen pregnancy, and abortion in the prosperous democracies. The most theistic prosperous democracy, the U.S., is exceptional, but not in the manner Franklin predicted. The United States is almost always the most dysfunctional of the developed democracies, sometimes spectacularly so, and almost always scores poorly. "

"The non-religious, pro-evolution democracies contradict the dictum that a society cannot enjoy good conditions unless most citizens ardently believe in a moral creator. "

Gregory S. Paul in the Journal of Religion and Society.

well i am not christian...i am a muslim...anyway whatever you want to believe in or not is your choice...you have free will remember that...those christians who have those thoughts are just well their opinions...just like so called muslim terrorists who go around killing people and bombing them in God's name....in Islam murder is one of the 70 biggest sins you can commit so these people are acting un-Islamically...they just have a very twisted view of the religion...it is NOT the religion which makes them have a twisted view...it is how they interpreted it...the mind can think in all sorts of ways...just like some Christians conclude that certain texts of the Bible seem to support homosexuality while other Christians disagree and say homosexuality is a sin...so you see it is NOT the religion...it is the people...anyway whatever it is as long as you dun break the law and commit heinous or unthinkable stuff and live according to morals, then I say it is all good...at the end of the day it is your life...people will say this and that, people will have different opinions, views, thoughts etc and it is a fact of life you cannot please everybody or are compatible with everybody so just change the way you respond...that is all...if you seem irked by Christians who say so and so...just say if they are good Christians please tell them to respect you as a person and your views as well and walk away...say in a nice and firm manner and walk way...what they wanna think afterwards is their business...and you alike please dun argue with them about their religion or say religion is bs or whatsoever and why you choose to be atheist...remember to respect their rights and views as well....when you show by example they get the message...it is your business and life and no one else's...i think i have kept emphasising on that enough...in short, just do what you wanna do and think is right and respect yourself and others as well...ciao!

not all atheists are immoral people, People do have morals. As a christian myself i believe this. i think where this is all coming from is that most atheist are democrats or liberals. and because of that they are pro choice. Christians dont think that is right, the whole deal is you are killing and innocent person because the mom cant support it. when there are other options. like adoption. i have friends who were adotped because of that reason and they have turned out fine. Its not that everybody who isnt a christian is immoral, its just that the immoral ones are louder then the rest.

Part of the brainwashing process is to inculcate the notion that religion is the repository of moral wisdom. Of course, that is false; moral values arise from evolution, which applies to societies as well as to species: a society that lives by a sound moral code will survive preferably to one that does not.

because in modern times, stalin, mao, and castro have inflicted huge amounts of damage, while christians can be radical, a true Christian when in a position of power in modern times, would not cause such large scale attrocities because of their faith. While, laws hold common atheists to a sort of moral standard, atheists in power have no problem wiping out massive amounts of people without morals, or legal problems

I don't think that there are no morals in a society that doesn't believe in God. God puts in every heart the knowledge of Him and the ability to do what is right. You can not believe in God, but that doesn't preclude Him from putting the knowledge of right and wrong in your heart.
