how is there watermelon flavored candy when watermelon doesnt have a flavor(it tastes like water)?

I think watermelon has a flavor, definitely. The candy that tastes like watermelon [like Jolly Ranchers] are artifically flavored anyway. They're just trying to create something close, but nothing except watermelon tastes like watermelon ... not even water ;o)

the manufacturers exaggerate the flavors of the actual fruit to make it taste more fruity...if you read the package/label it will clearly say artificially flavored or it will say made with real fruit juice or something to that affect. however, i love watermelon and it does have a flavor, just maybe not as much as other fruits.

I think watermelon does have flavor, but the watermelon candy flavor is really concentrated. they have to make it taste good or no one would want to eat it.

Watermelon has a wonderful flavor. The flavored candies and gum, however, are artificially flavored and they are HORRIBLE!!!!!

watermellon does have a flavor, but its not like that toxic artificial stuff. The artificial flavoring doesnt contain a spec of natural watermellon, and is made with food dye made from crushed chocineal beatles (carmine)

Water melon is watery but it does have a flavour,maybe hard to duplicate as it is a delicate but definite flavour .next time you eat water melon,concentrate & you are bound to appreciate it.
