In Hinduism, Karma in the cycle of re-birth is akin to money in a luxury store. The more positive karma one has, the greater can one's soul afford good things in life and good things in the world. (This includes one's beauty, the family one is born into etc). The more negative karma one has, the more one shall have to pay for negative deeds.
In Hinduism, karma can be earned by many duties (dharma) which include; worship/prayer; meditation/yoga; the recitation of mantras; yagna; charity work; giving selfless love and help; Hard work; living a positive, healthy and fitness rich lifestyle etc.
According to Hinduism, is it possible to increase the positive karme of one's love ones??? An individual like me not only aspires to give his family comfort, security, protection, and wealth in this life but would like to do something to help them in their future lives. What do I do? Are there any special Hindu tasks which allow one to boost the positive karma of their loved ones????

Nobody pay any attention to zafrullah. His brain is from the gutter. He is just jealous of Hinduism because our religion doesn't request people to blow themselves up. The caste system is NOT Hinduism. It has NOTHING to do with Hinduism.

By answering this question, I confirm to myself that I am a spiritually advanced hindu... even if i am not ....LOL
As per Karma philosophy, we are responsible for our own Karma... and we can not do any karma for others
But our Karmas not only affect our future lives...they affect our environment...our nears and dears too.
If you are nice to them in this birth...they are chained to you in a karmic debt..to repay you in other birth...not necessarily in same way... or in same relation.
Like a woman if loves a man deeply...she will always try to be near him in any relation...she may come back as Mother, Wife or daughter....and give him her love

I dont know if I am spiritually advanced or not but I think I can answer this question nicely.besides material benefits karma is also a way to spirituality. What Aum has said is 100% correct. but in the present life you can help your loved ones by showing them the right path, finding a true Guru for your family and instigate your loved ones to follow that which the religion says. Keep scriptures at your home, talk about God with one another, goad them to read the scriptures and follow them. Do a lot of puja-paath. this will create a lot of positive energy at your home and benefit your loved ones not only in this life but the next lives too. There should be unity among family members. The Demi gods dont reside there where there is quarrel, jeaousy and hatred. Read Durga Saptashati and the Durga Kawach in it. It protects the family and also your coming generations. And one more thing dont tell them to discriminate against other religions and dont criticise other people before them. This too is a sin. AND ONE MORE THING DONT BE ANGRY FOR WHAT I SAID TO YOU A COUPLE OF TIMES. I SAID THAT WHICH WAS TRUE. SO DONT BEAR ANY GRUDGES.(thats also a sin)

Your impression of Karma in Hinduism is thoroughly mistaken. All mundane things like good look, beautiful wife, comfortable life etc. have no meaning in Hindu philosophy. The rituals to attain these mundane objects in life are considered a bane in Hinduism and not resorted to by spiritually elevated people. The positive Karma will contribute in culturing the soul which takes one closer to the Truth or the final knowledge of the finality.

No, you can't boost the positive karma of your loved ones. As per Hindu beliefs, Karma is earned by the individual concerned by his own efforts for his own indestructible self. It passes around in a cyclic order in the process of re-birth. It's neither destroyed nor passed on to others. Every soul for himself- this is what Hinduism believes in the context of Karma.

My first answer is to understand Gita from a teacher for all your questions.
Now regarding your question of karma, you have to do the best to do your duties which includes supporting your dependants by all means. Fullfilling one's responsibilities include even to the soceity. So ther is no special task needed to boost the positive karma of ur dependants. If you are able to support them and if they get the support , it already shows the positive karma of thier past actions from this life or previous.
Gita has advised to practice the path of Karma yoga for normal person who is a Grahasta(married and living a family life). You become a karma yogi when ur to do list for your life has the first and foremost thing is the spiritual pursuit. If spiritual pursuit is your first goal you become selfles and do the actions detached freeing you from sufferings and fruits of actions(good and bad deeds), and cycle of births.
I don't know if I could answer your particular question.
with respects..

Every individual has to work out his own karma. If your loved ones get your love and protection, it is the result of their past good karma that they get it from you. You cannot manipulate their fate, by your actions. Of course, you can create conditions for their better karmas, as a Guru does.

I would not call myself a spiritually advanced hindu, or even a hindu. But if I where you I would only worry about getting my family members on the right path towards good karma, and you get the added benefit of good karma for yourself.
have a good day!!

Good question. Let me add my answer dunno if it helps you. Anyways lemme try.
If you undertsnad Karma you will understand that the answer lies in the question. To say this in one line .... We deserve the life we get....
thats karma... everything we do is a reflection on us and our thoughts and actions. Though you cannot increase the positive karma of your loved ones, the very fact that you intend to do them good will have its good effect.
However in our short lifespan and myopic vision we fail to understand whats good and what isnt.
At the end even the most painful tragedies happen with a good purpose its just that we dont realise it at that time.
If you wish to increase the positive karma of your loved ones the thought itself will suffice. Time will tell you that my words are true.

Its good you are concerned about your loved ones. That itself shows the effect of your Good Karma. As you know whoever loved ones you beget in your life time is also because of their good karmas and your good karmas permutation and combinations working mysteriously
By accumulating Good Karmas your selves your are contributing towards their accumulating and increasing their Karmas. It is possible only because they are your loved ones. Think. How they became your loved ones? What is the force behind it?
Concentrate in accumulating good karmas. The share in which is also being distributed amongst your loved ones from time to time according to their merit in Spiritual sojourn.

"You have taken this birth due to the past Karmas (+ or -) and would continue to take more and more till you have Karmas in your account. Having affection and adoring as loved ones and caring for them is also karma.
One should reach a stage by "actions and inactions" , that there is no karma left in their account. At that stage he becomes HE.Electicity would function till + or - functions!
