No, sugar products do not cause acne. Acne is tied to hormones. Thus people are more prone to acne during puberty or pregnancy. Some people have cystic acne; acne forms in the pores and develops a cyst around the pimple. Antibiotics usually cure this type of acne.
The food related stories are all myths and a hype. See a good dermatologist. He/she will prescribe a cleansing lotion that will gently rid your face of materials that clog the pores and an agent that will dry out the pimples. Sometimes antibiotics can help too. Don't use soap on your face especially scented ones that can irritate sensitive skin.
Don't squeeze the pimples, it can cause scarring and oozing and make the problems worse. Most teenage acne goes away by the end of high school.
There are many great medicines to improve acne. As a teen, I had bad acne, and it did improve. When I was pregnant, I developed a form of facial acne, which went away on its own when my hormones went back to normal levels.
Don't despair, see the doctor and things will improve. Good luck to you. Eating fruit is a good source of vitamins therefore it's a healthy over all.

I'm not sure of how to manage acne but when my friends and I worked in various restaurants our acne was @ it worst. We could see the grease on our face after a shift. restaurants w/ deep fryers caused the most problems. Seems like water would help to flush the system but I can't see where fruit and sugar free products would help.

Eat plenty of veggies...and protein(chicken, turkey)...also yes., stay away from sugar products and drink lots of water. Fruits have sugar and some fruits have more sugar than others...Also, visiting with your doctor would be a good suggestion as you may have something else going on that 's causing you to have acne. Some ppl need something more (prescription creams etc) than what you can buy in the pharmacy off the shelf.
ALso, being a 'teen' going through the changes your body is going through...eventually it will all even itself out. But definately eat more veggies..great for the skin* and visit with your doctor~ GoodLuck*

You are on the right track to being healthy. However, in order to lose weight effectively, you must make sure that you consume a good amount of healthy protein from nuts etc. You should try a protein supplement like whey or soy. Studies have shown that those who consume whey protein gain weight 15% faster then those who did not.

Contrary to popular belief acne is not a diet-related issue. You should see a dermatologist who can put together a skin care regime that will help with the acne.

Yes, it will help immensly. Drink plenty of GOOD water, not from the tap, or not from bottled marked "purified or enhanced" as they are nothing more than chlorinated water. Spring or steam distilled is best. Drink at least eight 8 oz glasses a day to flush impurities out of your system. It great to add a little flavor with a slice of lemon, lime, fresh mint leaves, or a couple of slices of cucumber, which makes the water nice and silky. Eat fresh, organic fruit to avoid pesticides, and avoid processes sugar. You should see dramatic improvement in a short time. Good luck

All fruit contains sugar anyway, but the Vitamin C is very good for you. Take Vitamins D and E, for bones and skin. And water helps to flush impurities from your system.
