Recently I been reading the bible to better my understanding and Im in the book of Matthew and i just keep reading how Jesus says, "And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air [have] nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay [his] head. Matthew 8:20" or "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Matthew 16:24" And just certain thoughts just keep running in my mind like, maybe I should just give up everything and just walk and keep walking. That maybe I need to get myself out of my comfort zone and do what Jesus did. Maybe go from america to the other side of the country and back? I don't have alot of money but just learn to live off the land ya know
i don't know, what do you think of this idea in my head?

In Matt 8:20 Jesus was saying that He had no permanent abode and He was travelling all the time. In Matt 16:24 if we want to be Jesus' disciples we must deny ourselves by agreeing that not our will but His will be done in our lives; we must take up the cross by living life with our old man crucified with Christ and with the new creation life; and follow Him by walking in the Spirit being sons of God. For me before the call came I have to develop an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit who leads me step by step in my spiritual growth (including knowing my spiritual gifts) and I have to be transformed by His power to be more Christlike then the call came clearly to me in a still small voice. In my experience knowing God intimately comes before the calling. We cannot follow Jesus' instructions without hearing His voice for without abiding in Him we can do nothing in His name.

I get put on a path, but I never know exactly what I'm supposed to do and I probably make lots of mistakes.
And I have had such inclinations, but since I'm not affiliated with a specific sect it would be starting from square one and I'm not good at building a temple from scratch. All you have to do is look at the funny dogs houses I've build with wood and lots of glue and nails to see that!
One calling I had was to build an on-line school with a variety of alternative teaching methods into college level, free of charge to anyone.
This was like 13 years ago.
That's an impossible task to do alone and I found no one else with a similar calling and vision to band together with, so it never got built.

If we are Christians then we all have been called. If God is truly telling you to go then He will provide for you. Don't use that as a way to not work and think that God will provide. We all have to work in order to live and have the things that we need. Yes God will take care of you, but he also wants us to work. You need to talk to your pastor before you give up everything.

I think it's wonderful. But I would take it in smaller steps, such as giving more and volunteering in your city's shelters and whatnot. Do you have homeless people where you are? Take them sack lunches, or a blanket, etc. Spend some time talking with them, with society's forgotten. Then go from there..
Good luck, my friend - I hope you find as much joy in it as I have.

actually"the son of man" is referring to a woman... she is homeless... and asks in the spirit to the people who claim to be helping but are constantly complaining... christians mostly... what do you want from me don't you all have homes... then she said you want to be like me... what are you all nuts... don't give away your homes as I did you idiots... don't try to be like me.... you see the woman is destined to be called mother nature...god... in the flesh... she's had helpers but gives them **** if they try to follow her....she might want to sleep on their couch some day.. she walks alone..
She did something like that but it's her destiny not yours... she says the best example she's ever had was John Lennon... he walked the earth on her behalf working and teaching peace... To those of you becoming obsessed with the bible be warned.. the evil ones introduced it to humanity for his purposes... and those reading it can become insane... take a look at Mark David Chapman after he got involved with the bible... by the way he's the one who shot John Lennon... listen to his interviews lately....

This is a time where you could really use your Pastors input on this. Talk to him and find out what he has to say. He watches over your soul. Don't go into anything blindly. God Bless you in Jesus name.

Jesus called me, the day He saved my soul. He put the desire in my heart to serve Him. He made a change in my life. He has used me in many ways. I drive the church bus, and teach sunday school. When God calls you to do something, He will make a way for you. When God is in it, nothing is impossible. Obey the Lord.

[4:100] Anyone who emigrates in the cause of GOD will find on earth great bounties and richness. Anyone who gives up his home, emigrating to GOD and His messenger, then death catches up with him, his recompense is reserved with GOD. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
