The girl on the left on the picture.
Since we kill other people, won't you kill her because she's showing her arms?

BTW, that's me before I became a Muslim.

I would like honest answers so people can understand the minds of Muslims.

This is what I would say if it wasn't me:
I love you and always listen your mother.

May the peace, blessing and mercy of God be upon you

Firstly, all praise is due to God for your embracing Islam

Ok, you must understand something "understand the minds of Muslims" is a complicated thing, there are 1.5 billion Muslims, from various places in the world, who have certain cultural biases that affect how they percieve and live out faith in God.

I am an American born Muslim, to Pakistani parents. I am 18 right now, and go to University.

I would say, that it is better for you to dress more conservatively now, as Muslim womens are precious, and valuable. They are not like other girls who in most cases have not much respect for themselves.

When you embraced Islam, God already forgave all your previous sins... So some of the people are incorrect in saying you should repent for showing your arms.

I would say, it is most important now for you to maintain praying the five daily prayers. It doesn't have to all at once, slowly start with 2-3 a day, then 4 and gradually work to getting up at dawn for the sole purpose of pleasing the All-Mighty.

Always seek forgiveness in all your prayers, and try to build what is called Taqwa this sometimes is translated as "fear of God", but that doesn't mean that you are sittin their shaking fearing God, rather it means "God-Consciousness". That is to be AWARE that God is ALWAYS watching you.

I am not sure if you are kidding or what "since we kill other people". These are the Taliban, and Al-Qaida people, they are committing numerous crimes, and for that God will judge them accordingly on the Day of Recompense.

Peace Be With You

She's not a Muslim, so what's the problem. In fact if you read the Qur'an, there is very little attention paid to the uptight way in which women these days cover themselves. Yes, you should present yourselves modestly and with humility, yes it is better to cover your hair and not wear tight clothing. But is it necessary to cover your face? That woman might be a very nice person, even though she is dressed "inappropriately" as some might say.

From the Holy Quran

[7:26] O children of Adam, we have provided you with garments to cover your bodies, as well as for luxury. But the best garment is the garment of righteousness. These are some of GOD's signs, that they may take heed.

HUH?

I would not say anything to her. Its not my business if you, she whoever wears a short sleeved top. I am a Muslim revert to but i certainly do not advocate telling others what to wear and what to do with there lives i am free to cover as she is free to reveal. I live in the UK and am surrounded by more than just arm showing that's for sure and i never, ever feel compelled to tell them anything, why would i?

How can you accept any Religion that allows you to kill someone for not worshiping correctly or dressing right. A true Religion states THOU SHALT NOT KILL. This is the main problem in the Middle East somehow someway people got it into their heads that killing someone for their beliefs is ok.

Islam is more than just the outwardly look of devoutness.

Islam is the heart and soul of devotion to God, which may or may not show through the labels of modern man.

I would say she looks cool in the jeans :)

Your a girl!!! o.O

Sorry..... I apologise.

Well, it doesn't really matter, because you weren't a Muslim at that time. But I advise you to take it off now. You shouldn't be exposing yourself after you become a Muslim.

Repent for showing your body.

wow... YOU MUST BE CRAZY... kill someone because thier arms are exposed...

pardon me for pointing this out but you said...

because "we kill other people" and then alluded to killing yourself all in the same sentence...

by an by, my mother is a muslim and she has never alluded to killing herself, or anyone else, because of her life before she became one...

but if your religious views are so zealous as to lead you to believe that killing anyone, for any reason other than protection of your person or that of another in an emergency is okay then you can think whatever you want...

now where was that irony again?
