Lorazepam sometimes has an effect on depressed people where they have suicidal thoughts. All I thought about was suicide but I was given Lorazepam anyway. I read the warning info and thought, 'Great, I'm sick of being suicidal and now this pill will make me even more suicidal". It ended up being ok since I'm also on a high dose of Lexapro which helps remove the suicide thoughts. I got off of Lorazepam because I got addicted. I have Klonopin now instead which makes me feel WAY more stable throughout the day.

I really don't know how much would kill you. The thing about pills it that you'll probably pass out and puke all over yourself then go through a huge withdrawal mess for a few days. I know people who have taken MASSIVE amounts of Lorazepam and lived so I assume it's different for everyone. Whatever, don't even bother trying it if you're thinking about trying to die.

I wouldn't be surprised if you were suicidal because of taking lorazepam long term (assuming you have been on it a while). I strongly recommend that you read this manual on benzodiazepines such as lorazepam http://www.benzo.org.uk/manual/ and this web site http://www.bcnc.org.uk/

The side effects of benzodiazepines such as lorazepam long term are similar to alcohol. They can make you feel suicidal especially with long term use. Mess up your memory, alter your emotions and personality. I have been there. How do I know? because I was on them and I tried to kill myself to. I gradually weaned myself off them and the alcohol and with support I am still alive and no longer suicidal. I hate to see people suicidal.
Also if there is something or someone in your life making you feel suicidal then change the situation don't take your life. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
Promise that you will read those links. You remind me so much of how I was when I was strung out on pills. I was on a drug in the same family as lorazepam. Don't be killing yourself. Look for the cause of your problems and activate the solution. Don't look for suicide as the way out.

If you are seriously planning suicide, you need to have a friend or family member take you to an ER right now. You can look up in the yellow pages and see which hospitals have a psychiatric unit, and go to one of those. If there is no one right there who can help you, then you should call 911 or drive yourself if there is a hospital right nearby.

Please do this, there are medications that will help you very much!! I'm bipolar and have gone through this many, many times, they will help you at the hospital. You just need to ask.

i had taken a 400mg dose trying to help lessen the sh!tt. iness of a crappy day and make up for a missed dose. my normal dose was 200mg. I got severe dizziness, poor motor functions. It felt like a hangover but so much worse. It pretty much made me want to die a million times over. Eventually I forced myself to throw up but no pills came out. I only felt slightly better and spent the rest of the day wishing I could slit my throat to end the misery. So If your gonna do it make sure you do it right or face a fresh new hell on top of your current one.
Extra: weighs 175-180 I hate weighing myself these are from the last times ive weighed myself.
I take Lamotrigine. 200 MG

Suicide is a selfish act that harms everyone around you. My cousin overdosed in my daughter’s bed where she found him, leaving her, me, and many others to suffer! My brother’s death at 29 caused his sons to become alcoholics and made others angry and hate him. It took me years to recover and my sister still hasn't. My brother’s wife shot herself after years of drinking, drugs, and self abuse due to guilt she felt over his death. The ugly devastation left behind is NO joke.

I understand suicide. I attempted it many times, and believe me, it can really screw up your life! A man at the hospital my sister works at recovered, but not wholly. He knows he was once normal… but he’s not anymore. He will never leave the mental hospital and suffers knowing he did it to himself. The reason I would not attempt it again is because I found out that others you love might follow because you have given them permission and a way of escape.

If you want people to suffer, then your purpose is extremely selfish. If you are looking for an escape, believe me, that's NOT the way. Find a way to face your problem. Love, suicide is a long-term solution to a short-term problem. This too shall pass. If you try, you CAN make your life better. There are many dedicated professional people who are more then willing to help.

None. Oh well, may as well nix that silly idea and move on. How much therapy will it take to help you? Not much, so get right on that. Remember, life is only 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond to it. get back your own happiness. There are lots of people waiting to know you.

Get help. Call a crisis number, call someone. Life is precious. Suicide is a hard thing deal with when it touches your life. If there is anyone you care about, think of how this will affect their life. It's awful, the pain never goes away. If you need help dealing, get it. Never regret your past, use your life experiences to help others. Things get better, please give it a chance.

From my understanding, those drugs can be what's causing you to feel suicidal, and you probably aren't thinking clearly. Get to a doctor, like right now. The emergeny room.
