Salam :) i'm a Muslim teen residing in Canada. I placed on hijab alhamdullilah and this is for the main section usual right here on condition that i stay in a great city with a extensive Muslim inhabitants. I do get the few ignorant comments and idiots at school nevertheless who ask stuff like "yo have been given a bomb under there hahaha". however the toughest section is being diverse out of your pals. Being a Muslim, events, alcohol relationship boys donning revealing clothing etc is haram, and mutually as i do no longer pick to try this besides, it incredibly is a touch awkward to might desire to describe why i do no longer do it to those who evaluate it purely an element of being an adolescent and its hassle-free to them. Muslims residing in Muslim international locations rather have it much less demanding while it contains setting up in. And with nutrition it incredibly is a touch difficult yet I consistently attempt to examine the label if i'm not sure of the climate. yet i does no longer wanna be the different faith no rely how confusing it gets and how diverse i've got self assurance from all of us else, i'm satisfied to be Muslim :)

To have male friends that you talk with in groups with males and females is fine. To be alone with a male well if you are a Muslim i should not have to explain to you why. I have male colleagues and family friends who are male and i chat with them it is allowed. But i would never invite one of them into my home if my husband was not there, never. It is not allowed because there is always the chance like you here none Muslims say "it just happened" "we where only friends but i dont know something just happened. We didn't mean it"
Get the picture. It is for your protection too. How many women have been date raped or raped by a family friend. The world is not innocent even though we all wish it where.
In a world where you have a 12 year old boy raping his teacher (UK) and 14 year old boy raping two younger boys in a park (UK) anything is possible.
You are free to have friends who are male just not meeting with them alone, where is the harm in that?

There are 2 scenarios pertaining to your question. The 1st scenario is the Islamic rules and the 2nd scenario is the current trend.
Islamic Rules.
As mentioned in the Quran female Muslims are not allowed to be in close proximity with male other than their own Mahram ( Parents and Siblings -family members). The reason being is any female who are in close proximity with male has the tendency of committing or becoming a victim of sexual lust. However, female Muslims are still allowed to befriended male individual, as long as they do not have body contact and be present in any place in the absent of the Mahram.
2, Current Trend.
In todays modern world, Islamic law was considered as an Orthodox and an obstacle for some in term of socialization. As such, many disobey the rules and befriended anybody openly. As a result, many females become the victims of rape and sexual harassment. Thus, in recent years, we were awakened with the spread of AIDS and other sexual diseases. Allah S.W.T. has a reason to forbid certain behavior in mankind for the benefit of the ppl of the entire world regardless whether they are Muslims or Non Muslims. However, In fulfilling our temptation and sexual lust, we always defy such orders and provide excuses for our act. Thus, we should not blame the rules or the God for the retribution, we should blame ourself for being a defyer.

Muslims believe that there is only one God, referred to as Allah. Muslims believe that Islam existed long before the Prophet Muhammad and that the religion has gradually evolved with time. The Qur'an describes as Muslims many Biblical prophets and messengers: Adam, Noah (Arabic: Nuh), Moses (Arabic: Musa) and Jesus (Arabic: Isa) and his apostles. The Koran states that these men were Muslims because they submitted to God, preached His message and upheld His values. Thus, in Surah 3 v52 of the Koran, Jesus’ disciples tell Jesus: "do thou bear witness that we are Muslims".

Most Muslims accept others as a Muslim anyone who has publicly pronounced the Shahada, which states, "There is none worthy of worship except God, and Muhammad is His final Messenger." This is often translated as, "There is no god except Allah," however "Allah" is the Arabic word for "the God".

Quran says, mixing between the opposite sex is the source of weakening of society.

We muslims follow the sayings of Mohammed (PUBH) and we follow the edicts of Quran, this is the source of our ALL ACTIONS (religious).

In Quran and Traditions of Mohammed (PUBH) we have everything. Complete mode of life and complete mode of society. We revere these 2 things as a revelation from Allah (God Almighty) so we do not interpret or interpolate our opinions upon these 2 holy sources. This is the source of all our actions and traditions.

Bring us something more holier than these 2 things, we are willing to negotiate any changes you or anyone can suggest.

Society is composed of Men and Women it is not good separate them, even God said "It is not good that man to be alone" so God make a women out of the ribs of a Man.
To Syed how come that mixing of different sex is a source of a weakining society, which even God told itself 'It is not good that man to be alone" you are better than God? The problem with you're religion is that you make this rule out of your jelousy.

Women have a rule to society that is God Made Them......

To answer your question it is clear that they mad this rule out of jelousy....
