why is that most of you on this section are blaming mexicans for everything bad that happens , I been reading some of your questions and most of them are about racism ,discrimination and all , somethings like " yeah . they dont pay taxes . they come here to kill my family , they are here to take our jobs ,my inssurance went up because maxicans", bull ++++ they do pay taxes , just like you and me , everyone kills , what about Timothy Mcveigh , and Terry Nichols. oklahoma bombers if you did not know , oh by the way those two are Americans , they are not to take nobodys job , just those that we dont want to do , minuteman go and pick up strawberrys for 1 day and see.if you can handle it, insurance goes up because . you are driving drunk . speeding , young teens recklessly driving I mean there is so many things man . lets just stop racism and discrimination . no one is taking our country .if we try to kick them out who is going to pick up those veggies you are about to eat today dah.

Umm let's see they are not supposed to be here illegally? Hence the word "ILLEGAL".

I cannot go to France illegally, or Germany - the latter I did go illegally, they arrested me put me in jail and then sent me back to the U.S two weeks later.

It is easy - do not want problems, do not go to another country illegally.

Last week ICE removed 15 illegal Russians on my block - GOOD, they too are not supposed to be here illegally.

Well gosh I don't know could it have been a few years back with the march that started with the Mexicans and then they all protested the streets and "DEMANDED" they be Americans? Do you remember a few years back when all this started? Do you?
When "ANY" group of people of any race starts a demand like that guess what happens..People start looking into what really is the cause and effect of the purpose and then find things that are unjust. Just as Max had pointed out "Illegally" that is the key word. He is also telling the truth about other countries when he says "we cannot go over there Illegally" just image for a second you and a mass amount of people want to go to another country and you decided to sneek over there and are living over there Illegal...and demand that people in that other country should be speaking "Your language" What do you think would be the outcome of the people that live in that other country? Do you not think it would cause the same affect?
You have to understand that most of us here are for the people coming over here and working hard and trying to establish citizenship and working towards that goal, but there are others that are in this country Illegal and getting paid under the table and therefore not paying any taxes and you need to look that up yourself and do your own homework cause quite frankly some of us are sick of having to repeat the same facts day in and day out. So once again its racism ..that is the best argument you have, come on thats it. Please and picking veggies...really.. How about a bit more facts for you....

Just think of the endless paeans to multiculturalism in advertising, political speech, academia, etc.: they are always illustrated by a photo of people of different races. Then he or she will import the worker, undercut American wages, and, as a bonus, stick the taxpayer with the cost of the new worker's health care, of educating his children, and so on. Our" economy "depends" on immigrant labor, liar a country should do its own work PERIOD.

Obviously you don't spend much time in this forum.. you are picking what maybe one jerk said as apposed to what the majority are saying.. there are racist idiots in this world..ALL over the world and on different nationalities.. heck if you want to go the other way. I see on TV where some Mexican Illegals are picketing and calling white people racist- that is being racist.. judging one race by a few.. I welcome any Mexican that wants to come here if they are here LEGALLY- any Immigrant from any country if they are here LEGALLY- Now back to your jobs that Americans don't want to do which is what I am about sick of hearing... if those jobs were open to Americans many would apply I'm sure.. There are Americans that pick up your garbage, construction, many labor intensive jobs and yet Americans do them.. those jobs are not open for Americans to apply so therefore they don't get a chance to get out there and pick fruit or veggies.. they would have to be paid more then what they are paying illegals because we as Americans pay taxes- if they paid us the same as they pay illegals all our money would come out in taxes.. they only way the illegals pay taxes is they do pay sales tax when they go shopping and they do pay taxes when they steal someone else's identity- key word steal. So before you go blaming one group of people for what a few say and call us say we are racist and discriminating.. maybe you should look in the mirror.

Mexicans dont take jobs..they do the ones no one else wants to do. Ive worked in chicken houses my whole childhood and its bad. Catching chickens and throwing them in the cages untill all of them are caught...up to 60,000 chickens a day..Talk about one of the hardest jobs out there. Ive done roofing, construction, other labor jobs but i gotta say, catching those birds at 9 to 10lbs each isnt something most people would do. Yeah most of them that come here are illegal. But its because of how much they suffer that makes them come over here illegally and work harder and get paid lesser cause they know that in mexico its just alot worse. They grow up dirt poor and most parts of mexico is chaotic with cartels shooting down innocent lives for the hell of it. Thats why mexicans are here illeglly and no, they dont take jobs, we do the ones no one else wants too. Thats the truth.

I have blamed illegals for some things, but I have NEVER pointed it at Mexicans or anyother nationality. Illegal aliens come from all countries. And, I have no beef whatsoever with Mexicans or any other nationality that is here legally.

Illegal immigration does affect things like our taxes, diseases that have been reintroduced to the country, over burdened schools, over crowded hospitals, unemployment of citizens, etc. If I had to pick strawberries, I would. You have no idea what kinds of jobs I've done in my life. I'm not so arrogant as to be above anything. And we do pay much more in taxes - illegals can't own property - I pay over $5,000 a year in property taxes alone. That doesn't include income tax, per capita tax, medicare tax, social security, etc. I pay over $12,000 into the system every year. What an illegal contributes in sales tax is nominal.

Edit: To your edit about our African American's. First of all, they are CITIZENS. Secondly, most of them do work, and work hard. We have white citizens that are lazy, too. Who's being racist now?

Well I'm an American first, but my heritage is mexican. I am all about closing off the borders. I see how a lot of people say things against the illegal aliens here would be racist. But for the most part, their comments about them not paying taxes but receiving state benefits is far too true. Not all mexicans do that, in fact many of them are hard working good people. Unfortunately they all fall into the same negative category; illegal alien.

Look, it's true that yes they work for far less than minimum wage, but they also receive college benefits that even our poorest LEGAL mexican immigrants can't receive. The door swings both ways, you just have to be open-minded and see negative aspects of illegal immigration.

Oh and I wouldn't ever bring up that insurance goes up because of WE are driving drunk. If you look at the California census, 44.1% of all DUI's arrests were of illegal hispanics.

The 2nd highest cause of revenue in Mexico is money sent from here. Do you understand now why Mexico's president Vicente Fox actually produced and mailed out pamphlets of how to cross the border safely?!?!!! Yep, true story! Our funds ACTUALLY surpass their entire tourism revenue!!! hahahaha! Yeah!

More Americans are killed by ILLEGAL immigrants than the Iraq war! They're here ILLEGALLY, and they don't have any right to be here. Imagine if I broke into your house late one night and started living in, and destroying, a bedroom. I would use up a lot of electricity, eat your food, maybe rape your wife, then invite all my friends and family to come take over some more rooms and make your house a diseases zest pool of filth and stink! Oh, but maybe I'll cut your grass once a week to justify being here. That's fair...right?

12 to 15 million in the country and the farmers say they are having trouble getting the fruit harvested because of tighter border control. The ones that work in the fields go home after working, the 12 to 15 million other "Illegals" are here trespassing and collecting benefits. Seems like you need to get real and stop whining about Americans wanting people to come to our country LEGALLY and not giving them something they dont deserve.
I would gladly pay higher prices for Veggies just to protect our country from being invaded! But that is not the issue, the issue is that we have to obey the laws and have insurance to drive here, it is only right the expect the same from Migrant workers.
I realy dont see what is discriminatory about wanting someone to do the right thing. Might be a good thing to get a good grip on reality before making statments such as that,makes me think that there is something wrong with your thought process, or you yourself are here illegaly.

I think the media has largely grouped all Mexicans together, and the ones who are here legally are getting alot of sh*t. How many people can honestly say they know, by looking at a Mexican (or Guatemalan, or Equadorian, etc.) that they know who is here legally or not??

These "illegals" are here because we, as a culture, have turned a blind eye. For years we've relied on their labor. It's helped the farmers, it helps them, it's a dirty little secret that no one wanted to talk about. In recent times, now all of a sudden they are the bad guys - guess what, they've been here for YEARS, doing work that not many others are willing to do.

Illegal is illegal, but ask yourself an honest question. If we were to boot all illegal workers out of our country, what would happen to the price of goods we consume on a daily basis? Are we willing to accept high prices - and not just for produce? Is the government willing to bail out more farmers and factories because now they have to pay higher wages to "legal" farm workers, and can't make ends meat???

It's not a cut and dry answer. Illegals of ANY nationality should be made to go through the system. But to blame one group for the ills of our society, it's racism. Go to any inner city or low income area. Crime is a problem across the board.

I live in a very rural area, and farming comprises most of industry around here. The school my children go to is almost 1/2 "mexican" (that's a blanket term I'm using here). I don't know how many are legally here or not. But I do know that without their labor, many farms around here would go under. How many of you have actually seen the conditions that farm workers must endure? How many tax paying Americans would work like that? They provide an essential service. They contribute to the economy by spending their hard earned pay, (go to WalMart on Friday afternoons) they volunteer in the community, they work hard and many truly desire to make their community and their lives better.

Crime...costly social programs... ALL nationalities contribite to this. Instead of going on a witch hunt for illegals, we should start looking at WHY they're here, and what we can do to change that.... and that involves the government, the employers, and the taxpayers.

It;s not about blame it;s about responsibility. It's about people (be they Mexican or others) breaking our laws (remember Bill Clinton no one is above the law). Crossing our borders without proper documents, using false or forged documents to obtain work. I know that the lure of cheap labor is real for a lot of business, but the middle class tax payers have to pay the bill for the cost of cheap labor. We should hold not only the aliens but business that break the law employing illegal aliens.

It is illegal aliens. Per the Pew hispanic center Mexicans only make up 57% of that category, and our government says that a full 50% of Mexican nationals are here legally. Those we aren't discussing.

However, when our government says 50% of all Mexican nationals are here illegally, and given that that is a visible group, it is easy to estimate impacts on schools and services in places like California and Texas where schools are failing from overcrowding and programs are being cut for our own children in order to target the 'problem' ESL demographic. Illegal immigration plus the no child left behind act automatically puts our children at the bottom of the priority list for schools in areas where illegals concentrate, and puts the newcomers, 50% of whom are illegally here, at the top.

How is this fair? Our children's education is their future, and their children are NOT more important than our own.

It isn't OUR fault they are brown.

Sure there are racists, but the impacts on our schools, services and opportunities for OUR workers due to their illegally being here are huge, and it doesn't take 'being brown' to make you unpopular in this circumstance.
