Gluttony is like drunkeness and the composition os sin never changes. Obese christians might not have all become obese by over eating, it might have been through some other health condition, and, perhaps, they had foresaken their old ways and are now trying to work out the excess.

Slothfulness is another thing. It depends on what you are slothful at; if it is over what should be your responsibility, then, it is very sinful but if it is not, then you are only working against yourself and not against God.

Why do human beings continually pass from "Is .... a sin" to "Will .... pass to hell"? sure, gluttony and sloth are sins. obese persons are actually not all gluttons and slothful. Whe i replaced into gluttonous, i could not get myself over one hundred thirty five pounds. Now that i'm not so gluttonous, i'm suffering to get down from a hundred seventy five pounds. So assorted it has to do with the way our bodies artwork. Gluttonous Christians won't pass to hell. Neither will Christians who smile (a form of gluttony) or who've shares in companies that abuse the employees in undesirable worldwide places (thinking of fabric companies). yet they're going to might desire to respond to to God approximately it.

Gluttony and sloth are traps for the unwary. Is that the definition of a sin?

And remember that obesity can be a result of a HISTORY of gluttony and sloth, even when a person is working hard at overcoming those problems. I've recently lost a good bit of weight, but because I still have a good bit more to lose, you might think I'm still compulsively overeating.

According to christianity it's also a sin for a woman to speak in church. So, now, the obese women on treadmills in church will need to have a tarp over their mouths. Oh, and it's still a sin to "covet thy neighbor's a**" but is it a sin to tap your neighbor's daughter's a**?

Yes two out of the seven deadly sins. What is funny is that Christians sin as much if not more than any other religion. The other five are.....

Pride - Thinking you are better than other people.
Greed - Thinking you deserve more than anybody else.
Envy - Being angry if you see what others have and you don't.
Anger - Being angry because you do not have what others have just not money but material possession as well.
Lust - Trying to gain nothing but pleasure even if it hurts someone.

Yes they are sins, but Christians are justified by faith in Jesus even though they are still sinners and always will be until perfected in Heaven. When God looks at a person who has put faith in Christ, He sees Jesus' perfection on that person because that person believes and accepts that Christ died on the cross for that person and not in vain.

Not as far as Reverend John Hagee is concerned! Praise the Lord and pass the pork chops.

If they are true believers they won't go to hell . They should know they are stewards of the body that Christ have given them . It is sad that America is getting selfish and lazy. They scratch their heads and wonder why other countries are a step ahead of us. Too much pride doesn't help either. Me , I'm not fat !

Yes, Gluttony and Sloth are still sins.

I cannot predict whether they will be in heaven or in hell. I can say that when God says that Jesus died for all our sins. He meant even gluttony and sloth.

One doesn't go to Hell simply by sinning, because we've all sinned. Hell is for those who have chosen not to spend eternity with God.
