I think it would be Peter. He had a very influential character, and a lot of charisma. But that meant he was more exposed to sin . Knowing this, Jesus prayed for him so that his faith would not be lost and His ministry to be continued (luke 22:31-32).

I wonder why you limited your question to the original 12. The most influential person was not among the original 12. In fact, there is hardly any record that he met Jesus while he was alive, yet Paul undoubtedly is the founder of what later became Christianity. Obviously, without Paul (a very intellectual and lettered man of his time), things would have very much different.

That's a hard question, but I'd have to say Peter and agree with the answers about the church being built by Peter.
I love the http://www.stickwithjesus.com site. Keep up the good work!

Peter. Jesus built His Church through him. Peter was known as "the rock" and was the first Pope.

i imagine, John. It replaced into John that Jesus ENTRUSTED HIS mom WITH. It replaced into John that Jesus apparently had an truly particular LOVE for. John's tremendous LOVE for the Church replaced into evidenced by technique of his exhortations to the brethren to love one yet another. a million John 3:11 -- ...that we could consistently LOVE one yet another. ... 14 all of us keep in mind that we've handed from death unto life, because we adore THE BRETHREN. He that loveth no longer his brother abideth in death. John 19:26 -- at the same time as Jesus for this reason said his mom, and the disciple status by technique of, that HE loved, he saith unto his mom, woman, behold thy son! John 20:2 -- Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the different disciple, that JESUS loved, and saith unto them, they have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and all of us understand no longer the position they have laid him. John 21:7 -- for this reason that disciple that JESUS loved saith unto Peter, it really is the Lord. Now at the same time as Simon Peter heard that it replaced into the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he replaced into bare,) and did forged himself into the sea. John 21:20 -- Then Peter, turning about, seeth THE DISCIPLE that JESUS loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and suggested, Lord, that's he that betrayeth thee? And it replaced into he that wrote the in elementary words e book contained in the Bible which announces a blessing on those who listen it or examine it. Revelation a million:3 -- BLESSED IS HE THAT READETH, and they THAT listen the words of this prophecy, AND keep those issues that are written therein: for the time is accessible. i ought to like to be grown up into His image the position He ought to entrust ME with that variety of blessing!
