Hi if you feel as though you have completed your family then dont feel regret , there is a time in your life where you decide babies are over time to bring your kids up then when they grow up its time for you to enjoy your life , dont worry its a natural feeling to feel regret but just think about the future when its your turn to sit back and enjoy your life with your grown up children then grandkids, you dont want to spend all your life rearing kids there is a time in your life when it becomes your time and you still have your kids to enjoy as adults , cheers

I had my tubes tied 3 1/2 years ago. I have 3 kids. There are times when I will get the "baby fever" and wished I had never done it. But more often than not, I am glad that I can't have anymore. I have my moments, but I am glad that my family is complete. I am pretty confident in my decision to have my tubes tied. I don't have to take (and remember) a pill everyday or have to go through having a bunch of hormones pumped into me. It is a good feeling to have this kind of freedom with my husband.

My husband and I were married very young. I was 18 and he was 19. I was 20, 23, and 26 when our first 3 children were born. I wanted to have one more child, but my husband wasn't too keen on the idea. Since I was young, my doctor suggested I go on birth control pills - very reliable yet not permanent. As the years went by, I just kept taking the Pill since it worked fine and I had no side effects. When our youngest was about 8, I gave up the idea of having one more child, but my doctor said there was no reason to go off the Pill since it was working fine. Just after I turned 38, I began having some stomach problems - pain when I ate, loss of appetite, some heartburn, occasional diarrhea. My doctor diagnosed Irritable Bowel Syndrome. However, at my yearly physical my cervix felt pregnant. Further testing showed that I was pregnant - 17 weeks along all ready. Right after our little surprise joined our family, my husband had a vasectomy. No regrets for us, but one surprise for us was enough.

once you have had a couple of kids, you wont regreat it because your parental instincts have be filled. its great because it means you and your husband can have unprotected sex with not a care in the world. me and my wife have had 4 kids, i am thinking of being neutered and my wife her tubes tied now as we dont plan to have any more.

if you havent had kids yet, dont do it, you will get to an age when you will start to feel broody and all of a sudden want kids!

I want more kids, but my husband is fixed.
He had a 20 year marriage before me, and now regrets his decision.

I have seen many children in the foster care system available for adoption though.

When we relocate eventually, we will try that avenue.
