Everyones different with there side effects,i actually had none when i was on it but i had to use the liquid form because the tablets made me feel sick constantly for 5weeks.Your side effects should go after a couple of weeks,if you still expeirience them after that talk to your doctor or pscyatrist about possibly changing medicines.

Hi. There is not guarantee (like the others suggest) that this side effect will disappear. It MAY become less. What did your doctor tell you about the possibility of side effects?
It is important for you to keep an eye on your side-effects -although SSRI's can help you with your problems- you and your doctor will have to discus if it is worth the possible short and evt. long term sideeffects.
Don't let it go on endlessy deciding what to do. Decide a set time period after which you will evaluate the situation (say 3 months.)

I had to see a fetal specialist and they prescribed me 20mg a day. They told me prozac was one of the safer antidepressants to take. He did tell me that the most com men side effect was jitters and that usually went away after a week. I am happy to say I had a healthy baby girl who is 14 weeks old. She didn't suffer any side effects, and I didn't have postpartum depression. I hope this helped. Good Luck!!

i always take mine at bedtime coz they still have that effect on me after several years on them. It is just something that some people have to get used to. If it is a really bad problem and has not gone away after about 4 weeks of taking them i would go back and talk to your doctor.

Yes....definitely :D It lasted about 3 weeks for me but I had been REALLY anxious before taking them (which was the reason I was put on them!) so I reckon my body was just so releived to be able to 'chill'!!!! It was quite nice actually....I needed the rest! This is one of the most common side effects and is just apparant whilst your body adjusts to the medication.
Take care :)

i take Prozac i suggest if you get drowsy you take it just before you go to bed not during the day. i find its a good drug i take 40mg per day and find it helps me soooo much. if changing the time of day you take the Prozac doesn't help chat with your doctor and he might give you another drug more suited to your needs. good luck with everything

They may not wear off, in some patients they can be a persistent side effect necessitating change of medication. I assume the symptoms only came on when the drug was commenced as they can also be symptoms of depression.

Yes, that side effect generally goes away after 2-3 weeks.
Take it at bedtime if you wish.

usually most of the side effects disappear after a few weeks of them starting. you should take the caps around 8pm. you should feel different soon. stick with it for a couple of months to be sure.
