I have seen many questions and answers (and comments) here about creation and how long ago 6,000 years vs. millions of years.

1.If God had no begining (and I believe that) That means He has been forever. If He created all things with His spoken word "POWER" (and I believe that he did).

1.When the first tree was created from (His power) if some one had checked it with modern equipment, would the tests have showen that the tree was 1 minute old or would it have shown a full growen tree of 100-200 or even 1,000 years old?

2. When Adam was created was he a new born infant or a growen man? and since he was created from the "power of God" how old were the molecules that Adam was created with?

3.The Earth itself: if a scientist had tested it right after it came into being would he have found it to be 1 minute old or since it was created from "God" who has no begining would he have found it to be 30 million years old.

Thank about that and tell me what you think.

Question 1. God can make anything look old or have the test to look older or younger than they are - such are the descrepancies in alot of the dating in how old something is.

Question 2. The Bible does not indicate that Adam was a new born. It says that God made him from the earth and breathed life into him and then talks about him needing a companion so I believe God made "man" not a baby.

Question 3. Only God knows the answer to this one since his timing is not the same as ours. We may think in thousands of years where God it is minutes. Your questions are good and interesting but mans knowledge is just so limited. We can only go by what the Bible says as Christians and believe part of what science says. God tells us what he wants us to know and we have to just trust him for the rest.

Your question about creation is valid, As a Christian myself for 37 yrs. I have studied a lot. This earth is Billions of years old, Gen. 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heaven & the earth 2:And the earth was without form & void,& darkness was upon the face of the deep, & the Spirit of God Moved upon the face of the waters,, Now all of these things was even before God put anything on this earth. Gen. 2:5 And every plant of the field BEFORE it was in the earth-------------- True God had no beginning, & Yes there was a Prehistoric time frame. In Gen 1:28 God told Adam & Eve To REPLINISH the earth or to fill it up again. 2: Adam was created to be about 20 yrs old, That is why Eve was his wife. Adam may been created a little older Somewhere between 20 & 25. 3: This earth is billions of years old, It produced the prehistoic time frame & the Ice age, & that was the testing time for the animals kingdom & the angelic Kingdom, after God Judged it he just cause this earth to move away from the sun long enough to freeze everything up, Then slowly God begin to bring this earth back into a relationship with the sun to warm it up again to bring forth life, & Many today are call Global warming, little do they know God is now bringing this planet back into a more relationship with the sun That once the 1000 yrs. or Milliennium is over, we once again will have a perfect climate as before. Did you know that science had found Palm leaves in the north & south poles, I wonder why. UMMMM

That is a very interesting question, never thought of it like that. I don't really think it should matter how old the earth is, none of us that are living now was around when it was created. God did speak and it was.

Same with Adam and Eve, they created full grown. God created man out of His image and breathed into his nostrils and man came alive. That is just amazing.

Only God truly knows how old the earth is and who old the first tree was when it was created. Maybe when we get to Heaven we can ask God these questions, or will we even care when we get to Heaven.

Good morning, I am a Christian -
your comments are really quite interesting;
I really just want to say that after 35 years of
study in the manuscripts, I can find absolutely no controversy between God's Word and true Science. No person needs to jump on either the religion bandwagon or the science bandwagon with regard to the Creation issue. This is why:
A common misconception is that the Bible states this earth is 6000 years old; it doesn't say any such thing; in fact, the Bible states this earth is eons and eons old, and that there was even an earth age before this one. When you read Genesis 1:1, it says "In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth." When did it say that God created it? It doesn't, just "in the beginning". There is an entire earth age contained in that first verse. As you read on, you are being told of God rejuvinating the earth to ready it for flesh habitation, not the first creation of it. The reason it needed to be refurbished is because it sat for eons of time between when it was used before, and when God refurbishes it. You can read of all three of the earth ages in 2peter.
If those people that you and I encounter every day who talk against the Creation by God, would just understand the chronology of events with regard to the Heavens and the Earth ages, this would no longer be a problem. I see people on this forum who write that Satan was kicked out onto this earth at the same time that the crucifiction happened. They don't understand the timeline, the chronology. The war where Satan rebelled and took a third to follow him, happened in the last earth age. God destroyed that age rather than his children.
He then decreed that each soul would come thru this flesh age, the second earth age,
to make an ultimate decision of who we would follow. As the ultimate test, Satan will be coming disguised as Christ to deceive the masses, and this will occur just previous to the return of the true Christ.
The billions and billions (and more) of years this earth sat unused between the first and second earth ages was ample time for all of the beautiful nature of God to "do its own thing". We see what it did during that time, when we find dinosaur bones and fossils of
plants and animals. This is also why it is true that when they study this earth, they find it being untold billions of years in age.
When this earth age comes to a close with the return of Christ, and after the 1000 yr. period (the millinium) of teaching and the White throne judgement, we enter into the third earth age, and will, again, be living right here on good 'ol earth. Theres nothing new under the sun; we lived here before, we live here now, and some of us will live here in the next earth age, the eternity. Same earth, different age. This is the Word of God in the manuscripts. Unfortunately, not
everything in its full translation and under-
standing, comes thru when we translate from the original languages over to the English. So much is only transliterated, but not translated, meaning bringing the complete, fuller thought thru to make the reader understand. People fight a controversy that does not exist. One additional thought in closing: I just found out that they want to pass a bill in congress called Hr1529; this bill says that a police officer will arrest you if you hand out religious material, because it is now a "hate crime". If folks think that could never happen, it has already, in our biggest City, Philadelphia. Two 75 yr old grandma's have been jailed for it, and face over 40 years in prison. They handed out the gospel of John in a little book on a street corner. HR1529 also states that the arresting police officer can make the call as to whether they believe the person was "thinking of hate crimes", meaning you don't have to commit a hate crime; by handing out the Gospel of John, you are promoting hate, and therefore you were thinking hate crime, and should be jailed for a hate crime.
I thought I would vomit, honestly. Its real easy to see Satan at work in these end times, and this bill HR1529 is a peek into the direction the world is going, and its obvious that the stage is being set for the coming of Antichrist; the harvest certainly is ripe and ready. The return of the true Christ is so close; as the tables are being turned against love-filled Christians who are now betrayed as "haters", you can see how the tribulation of Antichrist is sure gonna separate those true Christians from those who just "play church". Its time to be sure that gospel armor is on and in place, huh?
God bless and keep you,

Jan

1. I think no equipment could really determine the age of that tree.

2. He was a grown man. Stayed lifeless for 40 days and then God breathed life into him. He was created by different color of soil from all over the world. The story goes, that God appointed two angels to go down to earth and collect the soil, the earth rejected giving it saying it shall not be apart of the making of a creature that will wreck havoc on it. So the angels went back to God in dismay. This is when God sent the angel of death back to earth. And he not only took the soil, but he took different colored soil from all over the planet.

3. The earth was not a planet with water and life and all that the minute it was created. It was all a ball of gas and slowly evolved. Molten minerals turned solid, it rained, seas formed. Continents divided. All that would have taken a considerable amount of time.

To "create" means to put and keep something in existence. God is Creator because He puts and sustains everything in existence. He is the maker and final goal of everything that exists, all things visible and invisible.

The truth of creation means that God's loving creativity builds into each of us a meaning, purpose and destiny which nothing can take away from us.

Does the Genesis account of creation contradict the scientific theory of evolution? No. In affirming that God is the ultimate cause of all that exists, Genesis gives its ultimate meaning and purpose - "Why" the world exists. It does not explain "how" the physical world came to be in its present condition, which the theory of evolution tries to explain.

The Catholic Church does not have an official position on whether various life forms developed over the course of time. However, it says that, if they did develop, then they did so under the impetus and guidance of God, and their ultimate creation must be ascribed to him.

Concerning human evolution, the Church has a more definite teaching. It allows for the possibility that man's body developed from previous biological forms, under God's guidance, but it insists on the special creation of his soul.

It is my understanding and correct me if i am wrong that God does not have to be logical He created Logic, when He created mankind and the earth it says in Gen. 1 that evening and morning were the first day, evening and morning were the second... so the first day was/is 24 hours and yes God created Trees that has seeds that make more trees, Adam and Eve were full [body wise] adults but also new created [not new born] and then when they had kids the Kids were baby's but God when He created it the first time it was fully ready to go, in Gen 1:11 we are told that ...the seed was in itself, that is the fruit [by the way the original diet was vegetarian and will be in the earth made new] and mankind was made to reproduce. and the flood that happened in Gen. chapter 6 greatly effected the aging process and how old the earth is perhaps closer to 6000-7000 years old but that does not matter what does matter is are you ready when God decides your probation time your living in now is up? The trouble with this world now is people are trying to think
they can do things like GOD.

Some of the answers I found here are suggesting that science can be twisted just like that.

I really find no logic here.

Good day.

First you truly need to come into the light of reality. There is no such thing as a god as you think of. If there is, then he is really screwed up. Just look around you and see all that is wrong in this world and where is that one big magician in the sky? Belief in such BS is for the cloroformed minds.

Just think for a few minutes and get over your day dreams.

This is exactly in agreement with the theory of creation according to the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

You see, the FSM doesn't want us to know the truth about how old the world is. Whenever scientists measure things that might actually give them a clue as to the age of the Earth, the FSM extends his noodly appendage and alters their measuring instruments. (His appendages are invisible, of course.)
