I could not get the question, but I do know about regional nerve block that is performed for anaesthetic effect (pain-free effect) during operation or for pain relief after operation. This technique (nerve block) is gaining popularity nowadays. The advantages of this technique are it has less cardiorespiratory effects and the pain-free effect of the block can stretched up to 24 hours after the operation. It is usually done by injecting the drug (not a steroid) around the nerve (not onto the nerve or damaging the nerve), and the drug will 'block' the pain sensation and muscle power, therefore giving the temporary anaesthetic effect and paralysis to the area of operation. The pain sensation and muscle power usually will return within the next 24 hours without leaving any residual effects.
