Satan was not created after Adam. He was already in Heaven. Satan, also known as Lucifer was an angel. He was jealous of God so he got Adam and Eve to disobey God and eat from the tree of knowledge. That's how he got cast from Heaven. Back then they only had one name. There was only two people: Adam and Eve, they didn't need a last name.

Satan is a name. The "devil" is what he is also known as.
Lucifer was his given name as an angel. He was an angel, and therefore created before Adam and the earth.

Adam would be considered a first name. His name means "blood in the face".

The one called Satan the Devil, has a name but its not Satan and its not Devil.
Satan means 'resistor'
Devil means 'slanderer'.
He came into existence long before Adam.
He was an angel that rebelled, hence 'resistor'.
Adam is a proper name given to the first man by God.

Adam is not a name at all - it is just the word for "human being" or "man." The word "satan" means "adversary" (or
"adversity") and is only personified as an individual being once in the entire Old Testament (and then it used in a highly poetic work). The word "devil" is actually an adjective, and means "slanderous." The "devil" was not created - he is the product of centuries of mythology heaped upon the original idea of anything that opposes the will of God.

It depends on who you ask. =)

The actual word Satan is the Hebrew word for "adversary" and doesn't actually refer to a proper name. Most sources place him as a fallen angel.

The wikipedia has an excellent artice on Satan and how the term is applied in several different religions and cultures. I put the link below...

Adam is hebrew for "man" (you'll find most biblical names are figurative in meaning) Wiki has a great article on him as well...

I think his first name is Lucifer. I'm pretty sure Adam is a first name. And I think Satan was one of the original angels...although I don't know if they came before or after Adam.

He's a fallen angel, by the way.

He is called many names. Since there were only Adam and Eve I don't think a last name was necessary. Last names are used to distinguish between families. If there is only one family there is no need of distinguishing it apart from anything that doesn't exist.
Think.

He is called just satan. He must have been created as he was a special angel in heaven..then he decided to challenge God and decided to rebel....he got kicked out of heaven along with his buddies.
