heard the speaker talk about the over population that immigration is causing. over population, which seems to be a huge drain on resourses.

But is it just that, does it come down to money, as the big issue concerning immigration.

If so, do you think it would be more feasable that rather than trying to stop immigration altogether, to impose higher tax laws on immigrants (say for a period of 10 years ) and then have them pay taxes as any American ?

Some of you may think it would be unfair to have higher taxes imposed on them, but in fact many nations do do this on foreign corporations, so why not apply it to people ?
Besides some comprimises must be made, you cant have your cake and eat it too.

Also, I would like to know your opinion on:
As an american do feel job insecurity given the rise in immigration, if so do you think jobs should be given to qualified individuals given by preference to americans ?

Thanks for your responce, please no racial slurs

California is running out of water. There is a new drought.

That last drought was in the early 1990's. California's population has grown by 10 million people since then.

Illegal aliens are the ones make the most babies in California. The environment and taxpayers are paying for it.

As an American I have never felt job insecurity because of illegal immigrants, and I live in California, home to about 24% of all illegal immigrants.

I don't think "legal" immigration is a problem. These people usually assimilate nicely and pay their taxes fairly. It is "illegal" immigration that is an issue. Illegal immigrants don't pay their share of taxes and so I don't see how you are going to change that. No, I feel the issue of illegal immigration can only be handled by enforcing our immigration laws and sealing the borders so that they cannot continue to come in illegally and also by following up on people who enter the country on visas, to ensure that they do not overstay and become illegal that way.

As for jobs: Yes, of course jobs should always be offered to legal citizens first, and only if there are not enough legal citizens to take them, then offer them to legal immigrants.

No racial slurs here. I do not feel that the issue of immigration has anything to do with race. It has to do with being fair and considering our own legal citizens first and foremost before immigrants.

I think they should be sent back to Mexico.

It may sound harsh, but believe me - I live in California, so take my word for it. Most Mexicans don't want to adapt to their new country. They insist on speaking Spanish, and instead, try to turn where they live into their own little Mexico, despite the fact that their own pitiful country can't provide for them.
They would probably find a way around it, believe me.

if we become over populated we will run out of food sources. they wont raise taxes on the illegals, the taxes will be raised on the American people. jobs should be given to only Americans and legal citizens, they do train people to do jobs.
