It's a picture done in pincel point. (DOTS) of a scene at a park, There are people, trees and ducks in a pond. I'd like a copy of that painting, or an actual size photo of it. Is this possible?

"A Sunday on La Grande Jatte--1884" is by Georges Seurat. He painted it between 1884 and 1886. It is owned by the Art Institute of Chicago. The technique Seurat used is called Pointillism. There's lots of information about this piece on the web.

When you say you would like a copy of this painting, do you mean a reproduction (like a poster) or an actual painting which is a copy? The dimensions of the original are 207.5 x 308cm, or around 81x121 inches, so it's quite large (over ten feet wide). Therefore a full-scale photograph will be a difficult thing to find. Similarly, a painted copy of the original would be labor intensive and therefore expensive, plus it would be hard to find one of high quality.

The Art Institute of Chicago online gift shop sells a print, but it's only 16x19". There are lots of poster available on the web, but I am sure the reproduction quality varies a great deal. At least one seller on eBay offers a reproduction printed on canvas, with "with the texture only canvas can give," but I cannot vouch for the quality of such reproductions--I have never seen an example in real life.

Good luck.
