was talking to my partner yesterday i was complaining saying i dunno how i am so fat (size uk 14 11 stone) i dont eat very much at all, he says it becaus i dont eat breakfast i mean really can eating breakfast help you loose weight???
normal eating day for me is.. this was yest food!
12 pm bowl of soup
2pm bag of crisps or an apple
5pm 2 potato waffles with cheese

i am no way lazy, i usually am to busy feeding the kids and cleaning up i agree my diet is not the best i make meals for the kids healthy meals but i struggle to eat much of a big meal get full easy

Eating breakfast kick starts your metabolism for the day. If you don't eat for a few hours after getting up your body goes into starvation mode and handles food differently.

First of all, size 14 is not fat!! Sounds to me as if you're not eating enough, and it's not very healthy food. If you don't eat enough your body goes into 'starvation mode'. Because it doesn't know when the next food is coming, it will store fat. By eating three moderately sized, low fat meals a day with fruit snacks in between you will lost weight. Instead of just a bowl of soup for lunch, why not have a large salad? I've lost 1 1/2 stones doing this with Rosemary Conley diet & fitness club (and I'm not saying how much I weigh)!!

I'm not sure that eating breakfast makes you loose weight but breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
eating breakfast sets you up for the day
cheese and waffles are not good for you mate you need to have proper meals i know this must be hard with children but it will help you if you have a stable diet

breakfast lets your body know that its time to wake up and start burning calories. if you dont eat it - your body is still in sleeping and energy savings mode.
you need to get some veggies and fruit in your diet.
you have to show your kids an example - take good care of your own body!!!
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

They say that eating a breakfast stops you bingeing later on. I have never eaten breakfast, used to be slightly overweight and now I am a normal weight which i dont have to fight to control.
It sounds to me from what you said you ate that you are not eating enough. If you dont eat enough your body goes into starvation mode and keeps all the calories it gets while slowing the body down to conserve as much energy as possible.
Try to eat more in the day (it doesnt have to be breakfast) and see how you get on.

apparently they say that eating breakfast speeds the metabolism meaning that more calories are burnt however skipping it will not make you fat. From your diet mentioned you are not eating excessively and the recommended calorie intake for a woman is (I believe) 1500 per day. Mix in some moderate exercise but some people do find it difficult to move body weight.

definitely try and eat breakfast. It gets your metabolism going for the day and keeps up your energy levels. I find the best way to loose weight if that's your objective is to eat little and ofter during the day. That keeps your metabolism going at a regular pace also it helps to you stop binging when you feel really hungry

For a start, your not fat!
11 stone isn't considered fat.
But, yeah, missing breakfast isn't good, because your breaking your fast, hence it's name.
If anything, judging by your diet, you aren't eating enough!
Eat healthy meals, 6 small ones a day, and you'll be fine.

It's not skipping breakfast that makes you fat, it's the snacking you do because you don't eat breakfast really. So some people always eat breakfast to stop them nibbling before lunch

Breakfast is very important because it gives you energy to get through the day. If you don't eat breakfast, you can feel sluggish and hungry throughout the whole day. When you eat breakfast, you get that morning energy and you're less likely to want to snack all day.
