Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!

Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!

Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?

My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:

Do you know how to play safe?
Non-believer's case:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...

Believer's case:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...

Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

To have free will means you have the choice to believe in God or not. The Buddist has free will and they don't worship God, they worship statues. So I guess I would have to choose no. 1 but basically you answered your own question with those options you listed.

Would you rather God had not created you? If he were to ask you first, then that means you would already be in existence. Come on man. Free will is given AFTER you are created.

Dis: Taking it one further. I was born with out my consent - and what does this really prove ? We are all born [created] to have a relationship with God, the Father, through Jesus Christ ! Should you feel like you do not want one, you don't have to accept one when offered from God (see: John, 6th chapter, verse 44). All have the right to free choice when the opportunity prevails. You also, have the right to be wrong, too !

number 2 would be the view called arminianism. I, on the other hand, am a Calvinist. i believe that God does intervene with our free will, and this is a good thing. I believe he changes our hearts and there is evidence of this in the Bible. This is a great thing though because we wouldn't otherwise choose God. It's all very complicating and faith-shaking if you don't understand it.

that probably didn't help at all. sorry. But both views are completely biblical and completely Christian. It's all how you interpret it....

Believing in an Awesome Creator is freeing to me ;) I do believe it depends on one's concept of God... if they see Him as loving and caring, it will make them feel more free. If they see Him as violent, uncaring etc. then they won't feel very free

When God created your soul and spirit, at that point you had a choice to be spirit or to be born and become redeem. We all know if you're here now on earth, we know what your choice was at that time, and perhaps the first time you open your eyes and saw the creator, and if you didn't like it, He could make you go away. But I thought any spirit felt that way being around his presence of love. Therefore you always had a choice.

Well, since you dont believe, lets put it another way. You didnt ask your parents to be born, does that mean you can't decide to do things the way you want? You can decide to do whatever you want to do, THAT is free will. God has nothing to do with the things YOU decide to do, He's just the one who is waiting for you to relize the truth.

I believe in Him because He's shown himself to me and I can't deny Him. I can't honestly say He doesn't exist, because He does. I would be lying if I said He doesn't. I believe because of what I've seen, and because I LIKE what I've seen. He is there for me no matter what happens. I praise Him when things are good, I praise Him when things are bad, and I am always answered. He's there, and He's waiting for you.

I think that you need to examine your question, first if you believe in God and that he created us then, then the question becomes how we attained free will. If you believe this precepts then you must acknowledge that God gave us free will "after" we were created.

As you stated it's my choice to believe in a greater power God. I believe in science as well. Everyone has to believe in something. Good luck on ur quest for knowledge.

True. I choose to serve God. Simple. That's free will. You can choose who you want to serve/believe/worship. God's not forcing us to love him.
Is that hard to understand?
