I am in therapist my therapist says that if you have a support group, or a supportive family member or friend you do much better. I am disabled and in a wheelchair, no transport to a group, totally isolated

Try asking on this program for people who would be willing to share and help you. This isn't a rare situation. One thing I suggest is to stay on your medication. You can live a very normal life. God Bless you.

I think that going to a support group is the best thing, but having a friend that knows what you're going through really helps also. Heres a link to an on line group, and from there you can talkl off line to people. I was diagnosed bipolar over 20 yrs ago myself. good luck to you.

I was told I was bi polar and I tried talking to people and finding support groups and had no luck. I found that I had to really learn about it and understand it and then realize what it all meant to me. I had to better learn how I myself could get myself through it. Learn my boundaries, limitations, and triggers. You really need to understand bi polar and you need to understand yourself. I learned if I don't understand myself how am I going to expect other people or support groups to understand and be helpful to me. Once you get all that taken care of then everything else will fall in place...it did for me!
