i wear glasses but i am getting contacts so i want to get rid of the under eye bags ( its actually more just puffyness down to where my cheek bone is)
.. im 14 I get lots of sleep most of the time, even when ive slept for ages ive still got them.
Does this mean im lacking some nutrients or something?!
And im not using a cold metal spoon, as that is bad for your eyes.
Thanks

Puffiness could be a sign that you have allergies even if you aren't sneezing. It could also be a sign that your eyes are tired even if you DO get enough sleep so get your eyes checked to see if you need a new prescription. Put an anti-glare screen on your computer monitor and don't sit too close to it. It could be genetic so look at your Mom and Dad to see if they have puffiness...if they do, you're looking at plastic surgery to get rid of it. The advice for drinking enough water is great but be sure not to drink too much water because it could alter your electrolyte balance and that is NOT a good thing. A cold cucumber or cold wet tea bag on each eye will help reduce the swelling. Really any cool compress like a cold damp wash cloth would do just about as well.

Good luck!

Puffy eyes can be hereditary, or can be a sign of allergies. Try a moisturizer with caffeine; it is a mild diuretic and will shrink the puffiness. If you suffer from allergies, check with the doc about using a decongestant or nasal spray. Even using an OTC saline nasal spray can help moisturize and shrink the nasal passages, and thus reduce facial puffiness. Sleeping on a more elevated pillow will also help to avoid collecting fluid in the area while you sleep (most puffy eyes are worse in the a.m.)

A cold metal spoon is not bad for your eyes unless you are using it to gouge them out or something - chill the spoon and place the bowl of it over the eye. You can also use cucumber slices - naturally cool inside and good for your skin, too. Or you can try one of the million eye creams out there designed for puffy eyes.

so is it your glasses that are putting them there? you know...you can get bags whether you sleep 0 or 12 hours....alot or a little is still bad for you...enough...8 or 9..is a good roundabout...maybe you are just one of the people who just have bags under their eyes? there are alot of people who have that no matter what they do...what i suggest ...is either getting a warm..not too warm.. towel and placing it over your eyes for maybe 5-10 minutes..as it will get cold fast...or seriously getting really cold cucumbers and putting them over your eyes for the same time. try things out and see which one works for you..go onto google....and type how can i get rid of bags under my eyes...see what you can find!

i wish 3 bottles of water a day was enough but it isn't. some people get bags under their eyes and it's heriditary (i dunno if i spelled that right). try putting a slice of cucumber over them, take vitamins, and try to drink a lil more water. sometimes too much sleep can cause them too, so make sure you don't get over 8 hours of sleep. if that means setting your alarm on the weekends even go for it, it's healthier.

The cold spoon on your eyes isn't bad for them. In fact, my optometrist suggested it for chronic eye pain and it helped me out a lot.

If you don't want to try that, why don't you try one of those gel packs you can buy at any department store for your eyes? Pop it into the fridge or the freezer, and pop it on for a half an hour.

Its probably from wearing glasses. Use cucumbers, and try one of the gentle anti-aging products thats suppose to smooth out wrinkles.

You can try some creams and all they always show them on commercials. A guranteed way to get rid of them would be really expensive though and that would be to seee a specialist.

drink lots of water. that is a sign of dehydration. also...be sure to get enough sleep, but not too much...that also causes the bags.
