Get a boyfriend/husband might be a good place to start!

I'm not sure that you're using the correct term. Foster care would mean that you no longer have your child and he is being raised in another home.

Perhaps you mean "mentor." There's a program called big brothers/big sisters which matches a child up with a same sex mentor. That man could work as a male role model for your son.

Where is your sons real father? I don't think you need a foster father. Foster parents take the babies/kids that you can't or aren't able to take care of. Maybe you should try to find a serious boyfriend, but remember it's not some other guys responsibility to take care of your son. It's yours and the "real daddies".

I'ma single mother..my sons grandfather and uncle seem to be the male role model for my son. I don't think you meant foster father? Parents without partners and the big brother program are also great influences. Also may be you can find a good Church group?

I don't understand why you are looking for a foster father. Are you wanting a guy to help you raise your son?

I wish I had one for my son.

Keep trying, and be creative in your thinking. Perhaps you would consider taking in a student of say, psychology or social work. Perhaps room for free? Go to Craigslist.com and try. Just be careful, do a back ground check etc.

Good Luck!

Honey, look to your own family for help and support. My brother, sister and I were raised by a single mom, and we did great without a father-figure...you can do it too!
