The heart is fickle. If I got what I desired tomorrow, I'd just desire something different. So I guess my heart's desire would be to be happy with the way things are.

Well, sure my heart's desire would be for others to know the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and accept Him into their hearts. That would be my first desire. Next though, would be that I wish my ex-husband, who really has a self-righteous attitude and demonstrates very, very un-Christlike behavior, would soften his stubborn heart and own up to what he has done and make things right. I don't care if he ever apologizes for the hurt he has caused me and my family. I do care however, about how he has hurt and continues to hurt our children. My little girl cried tonight because there is a restraining order against him and she said to me that she misses her dog (which lives with her father, 1300 miles away) and she is afraid she will never see the dog again because she feels her father will never change and will therefore not be allowed to see her until he does. She fears the dog will be dead by that time. Because of abuse issues, I have had to get the restraining order. My pig-headed ex-husband thinks that everyone in this world is wrong but him and that he is a victim of everyone else's mistreatment. He cannot and will not see that he is at all at fault for anything bad that has happened. My poor kids desire a healthy relationship with their father and cannot have one because of his stubborn and foolish pride. I am about to be re-married next month to a wonderful man who is more of a father to my kids than their own father. My heart's desire is for my ex to get a clue and open his eyes to the hurt he has caused his children so that he can grow up and be a father to them - the kind of father that every child is entitled and deserves to have.
