I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

No. Even people who have gastric bypass surgery do not lose 50 pounds in 2 months.
A realistic and acheivable goal would be about 2 pounds per week, on average. People with a lot of weight to lose may find that they lose 4-5 pounds per week for the first couple of weeks, then maybe ony 1 or 2 pounds a week after that. Or even zero pounds some weeks, but if you keep at it and don't get discouraged, 2 pounds a week is about average and the healthiest way to do it.

See your doctor.

BRAN if nothing else include or make sure u end your day with a good bowl of cereal or real fiber to get rid of all that.
Follow your diets that are for you weight and height. Again see a doctor for 50 lbs u can't fool around.
Please eat but watch intake. Think fiber for fast weight loss. Tell your spouse early on they have to be more understanding.

I think it's possible if you workout a lot and are conscious of what you are eating at all times. It breaks down to about 4 pounds a week so you would really have to eat healthy and not cheat. Maybe you shouldn't set a pound goal, just be happy that your clothes are fitting better. If you look at the small things, it makes it easier to keep going. Good luck!

That's a bit much for 3 months.

In 3 months ( a season), you could SAFELY lose about 27 lbs (2 lbs per week). That's a great goal, and I'd go for that before I'd go for anything extreme. Learning to lose weight is a habit that has to be long-term anyway, so there's no point in trying to only do it for a short time. :)

I lost 40lbs in 3-4 mths over the winter months last year and has keep it off using the following website. I had to pay like $30 dollars to register but it makes 11 day meal plans with regular food , and 45 min of excercise a day, if you don't want to join , simple tip: don't eat foods made with flour or startchy, meaning bread, pasta, rice, pizza, potatoes, eat more veggies, chicken breast, tuna, mixed nuts, ham and pineapple, and eat only one handful of food 4 times a day 2 and half hours apart. I swear it works but you have to have discipline. Good Luck!

It is possible, but not in the most healthy way. When I say not healthy I mean you stand a high chance of gaining it back, but gaining more then the weight you lose. It happened to me a few years back, it was not my intention of losing the weight, but I lost 40 pounds in 6 weeks. I was so stressed that I would hardly eat anything and if I did eat anything it was in small quantities, If you are going to lose the weight do it in a healthy way, eat proper and exercise. And best of luck

In 2004 I lost 48 pounds in 6 months. It wasn't easy. I didn't diet exactly. I just counted calories and fat grams. Weighed all my food, kept a diary of everything I ate and drank and exercised (cardio) for 45 minutes six days a week. I also walked for 30 minutes every evening.
