I have filed for the EIC while doing my taxes. I got my refund back but I didn't get the money that I was supposed to get for the EIC. I was wondering whether it would be deposited seperately into my account or whether it would be mailed, because I still haven't gotten the other part.

Typically this happens when the IRS has questions regarding your EIC. As long as it is approved, it will be direct deposit. If they need further information from you they will contact you via mail. Be sure to respond promptly.

Normally it would all come in one deposit, unless they're questioning your right to EIC. If they disallow it, you'll get a letter telling you why. If the rest of the money was deposited more than a couple weeks ago and you haven't gotten a letter but haven't gotten the rest of the money either, call the IRS and they can tell you what's going on.
