This week, I have witnessed the deaths of 2 kinds of wild animals in backyards.

Situation 1: At my house on the patio, there was a mother bird building a nest inside of my grill. After like 2 weeks after she had built it, I looked on my patio like 2 days ago and there I saw the baby birds dead, on the patio, underneath the grill and the grill had been shifted a little.

Situation 2: I was watching my friend's dog and let her outside as usual, but this time I found her carrying some baby squirrels in her mouth and she had thrown several of them from their nest and crushed their bones shedding blood.

I am devastated by these events, twice in one week. I hate to see animals harmed. I'm not superstitious, but what could this mean??? Why something so tragic??

I'm sorry that you've been so effected by this, but the only common denominator is that YOU were there to see the events. These things happen all the time. Be grateful for your eyes to witness what happens in the world. It's not always pretty, it's sometimes randomly harsh, but it's our world.

Well with the baby bird thing, maybe the mother abandoned them and they actually starved. and with the squirel thing thats a dogs instinct to want to eat other little animals such as birds, squirels maybe even rats if its in their territory. Trust me I have 4 dogs of my own and I have chickens and they chase squirels and they try to get into the pen with the chickens. All of this is just a coincidence. I too am an animal lover. Just like in one week I saw a cat get hit by a car and killed by another and then the same week saw a baby squirel get killed by a car. I got out and try to see if it was alive but it wasn't. I break for animals all the time even if it were to put me in an accident. Don't let these things go to your head its not a superstition or anything.

Sincerely
D. Molina

As a christian I believe that animals behaviour etc has been affected by sin as well. In the beginning, animals did not eat each other..they were eating grains etc like humans.. when sin entered things changed and of course after the flood animals had to eat each other....well this is what I personally believe. Animals have the killer survival instinct..they have lost the ability to eat the way they were originally sposed to. I know that in heaven there will be none of this cruelty..the lamb will lay down beside the lion etc.
I hate to see all this stuff too..I often find it better to not watch most animal pictures, even though I find animals more friendly than most humans.

Hey Ashlynn, I was having the same problem as you, so here's what I did. It was last Thursday and I just got back from school and I was really tired and I wanted something to drink but there's never anything in my house so I had to suffice by drinking tap water which tasted awful by the way because apparently theres not enough fluorine in the water, I dont know JK LOL HAHA ROFLCOPTER. So I sat down to start writing my paper when my friends called me up to play CODBOPS, which is my favorite game for the XBOX 360, so I proceeded to his house to play multiplayer with he and my other friend. About midway through the first match, while I was dominating because I'm a total beast, these hot chicks that I dont know but my friend knows that don't know me but know my friend came in the room and started complaining about how they wanted to do something with us. We were annoyed because they interrupted our game, so we said to wait in the other room while we finished the game. We then proceeded to lock the door to the room when the exited it (ROFL LOL HAHAHAH). So then after I had finished whooping up on my friends, I exited the room with them and went to talk to the ladies, but they had left, and so we said goodbye and i went to go finish the homework that I was supposed to have done. By this time it was 9:30 PM, which is pretty close to my bedtime, so I had to sneak by Mom and into my room. Long story short, when I sat down at my desk, I had to write an essay, and I wanted to impress my teacher, so I needed a really long word that meant perplexed or confused, so I searched the entire dictionary and came across the word "bewildered" which had the same meaning! And it only took me a few more hours to find it. So i put the word in my essay and went to sleep.

You look out your window too much. What do you have, like a recliner chair sitting right in front of the window? Maybe the mother bird forgot where the nest was and the baby birds died of starvation.

You know what, I'm devastated by these events too. I'm going to see my shrink. In the meantime, do me a favor and go ask that dog why it would do a thing like that.

It is not tragic in and of itself...it is nature; you perceive it as tragic because of your sensitivity...and your sensitivity attracts these types of events to you.

You say you are not superstitious, yet you ask, "What does this mean?" That in itself comes from an innate superstitious fear of the world around you.

The more you focus on such events, the more they will occur, until you learn how mind works. You have the power right now to change what you find unpleasant in and/or around you. Your point of power is always now, in the moment.

Being sensitive is neither good nor bad; it just is. The key is to learn to harness your sensitivity, learn to use it instead of it appearing to control you.

Dear, I understand how this affected you. I lost several of my dear pets one after another a few years ago. I was just crying out to God, why? It was all together and it was awful. I know God knows I love animals and when things like this happens, I also get terribly upset.

I don't know why this has happened to you. But I do know that Job said, the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord. You can run to Him for comfort when things happen that upset you. He will heal you, no matter how it shattered your peace or hurt you. God bless you, it will be okay.

Well, I will tell you this. Adam and Eve were on the top of creation. Whatever characteristics they had fell on all the animals as well, because the animals were under there dominion. However, when they sinned the curse of the sinful nature fell on the animals as well. So, if you see that animals are cruel to their offsprings it is because they cursed with the nature of man.

What you have witnessed is the common cycle of nature. Animals live and die everyday. Most are destroyed by some creature higher on the food chain then they are.

Sort of like humanity.
