A couple of months ago, I swore an oath on my soul that i would never do something again but then I did it anyway. I later got to thinking about and have been worried ever since. I've asked for forgiveness but am I still able to go to heaven?

Such an oath has no power over a Christian but, really, you shouldn't mess around with such things. "Let your yes be yes and your no be no". Sound familiar?

Swearing an Oath and breaking it is considered to be sinful. This oath can be on your soul, on your cat, on your car, on your house on anything. The nature of sin is nothing more than disobedience to a rule of conduct. Since an Oath is a rule of conduct or Contract, violation of the Oath puts you in Default (Sin) and Atonement (Balance: Putting the injured part back in the condition you found them before Default) is required.

Your soul does not belong to you so don't worry about it. But this is what the word says about oaths (in street talk). it says never to swear by anything , most important don't swear by god . He says just let your yeses mean yes, and your noes mean no. He says anything more than that is of Satan. Yes you have every chance of going to heaven. All you have to do is believe in Christ. Then when you reach heavens gate just remember that when you have faith in Christ's forgiveness it is then that you are decreed righteous and may enter therein.

You've stopped and thought about your wrong, you've asked for forgiveness. This is good, but you must continue exploring the issue with the Lord, an understanding will come and you will realize that you have been forgiven. Then go and sin no more ;)

PS: I always put things like this at the top of my to do list. High priority and urgent, ya know?

Looks like the only one that knows that now is God. Maybe if you live a good life in the ways that he expects you to, you might be still accepted.
