Time is the best healer. Get together with friends...Do new things that you haven't done before to give you some new insights on life. Stay busy. Don't listen to music that reminds you of your ex. Don't go see sad movies....that will only depress you. Do something new & exciting...Tell yourself everyday that "things will get better" & they will. Think positive.

Block him from your e-mail, change your cell phone chip with someone else, get caller ID on your phone, and don't answer the door if he is there. I actually moved out of the country once to escape a guy. This was definitely a dramatic answer to my problem. Now that I am older and a bit wiser, I don't run but am proactive with my problems. You can be proactive too.....just cut off any way of him contacting you. Plus, tell your friends to keep quiet if he asks them about you.

unfortunately you can never "remove" someone from your life... that's why people try to move on in different ways or go away to another city and never come back...
try to think of things that make it worth it moving on, meet new people and maybe change your physical appearance - a new haircut or make over always helps...

Try to join clubs or groups that will help you to distract your mind. Or, find hobbies or activities that keep you busy and your mind off of him.

If this does not help, you can try journaling your feelings. It will help to get them out of your system.

With lots of patience. Ignore him. Don't fail even once. Time will do its work.

Meet new people.

You might be surprised at how soon you can forget someone once you meet someone new.
