hey i know how you feel. you need to look for signs of flirting. soft touches in the hall, saying hey, some quick glance your way, and if you look, he stays connected. and if you ask him out what you really need to remember is "what do i have to lose if you with this?" best case, you two fall madly in love and have many kids.
worst case: he says he dosent like you, you sulk for while, and move on to someone new!

You tell him and if he says he likes you back then you know. All you have to do is take the chance that he may not like you. You will never know until you ask. You could miss out on a great opportunity if you don't ask.

He likes you if he:
1. Compliments you.
2. Looks at you a bunch.
3. Tries to talk to you a lot.

Go up and ask to hang out! If you are too nervous, accidentally bump into him or something and if he is nice, ask to hang out, if he's a jerk he probably doesn't like you ( unless he is macho-man and a tough guy who you like for his rugged character). I hope this works but this is a very hard question to answer.

if you have to ask you're not ready to have a boyfriend.
he will show interest in you if he likes you
or make fun of you to get your attention
or always stare at you, smile as you walk into a room etc.
