The Bible does not work, per se, it informs. It is a history book, a poetry book, a book of prophecy, a book of unconditional love, and a book of condemnation depending of how you look at it and what you choose to take from it. It must be read by the individual and understood only through the action of the Holy Spirit. One person can read it and think it is crazy and senseless. Another can read it and see the depravity of man and the unending love of God for all mankind. The work of the cross, as told in the Bible, is seen as ludicrous by some and life giving by others. I see it as a love story written by the inspiration of God himself, by the hands of human beings, directly to me, and I understand it as the only way to be sure of where you will be after you die.

It works by people studying it..byr looking at history and nature and by archaelogy..and above all it works because people have faith in God..so much so that no matter how hard centuries ago that man tried to destroy the bible..God preserved it....God is alive and well and one day in the not too distant future He will stop calling people to Him..because He will know that all that want Him have already come to Him.
