He died in Iraq and his death was listed as "Non-hostile - unspecified cause" pending investigation?

You know as much as anyone other than those doing the investigation. What makes you think anyone else knows more and if they did that they would post it on a public forum?

Key phrase "Non-hostile"...That means it was a non-combat fatality. It was probably an accidental death that did not occur during combat (or hostile) activities or it could have been a suicide (suicides do happen, we had two in our squadron in Thailand 68-69).

What ever the reason, we offer our sympathies to his family.
