do you recieve more money in your pay check one way or the other?

You get a little more in your paychecks if you claim one than you would if you claim zero. But at the end of the year, since you've paid in less, then either your refund is smaller or you owe more, so it all evens out then.

The idea is to pay taxes properly. If you claim ZERO then MORE is taken out. This means you take home more in your pocket each week.

Now, the thing to remember is that when it comes time to file your taxes, you MUST claim properly. So some times people will claim Zero on their paycheck and then claim the right number on their taxes, thus assuring a refund.

The more you claim the less they take out but keep in mind you might end up paying taxes. So best not to claim yourself and receive a tax refund depending on your earnings.
