But when we take her clothes home to wash, we have tryed different kinds of laundry soaps, even baking soda in the wash, nothing seems to help to get odor out. She is not a diabetic, just a heavy person in weight, we love her dearly.

Do a pre-rinse with some white vinegar added to the water. Then use Dreft laundry detergent, and a liquid fabric softener in the last rinse.

Before you wash them, soak them for a 1/2 hour in a cup of vinegar and 1/2 cup of baking soda in the washer with enough water for a small load. Then fill the washer and wash as usual.

I know how to help on this one. I have a grandma and last time when she stayed with my us, my mum used to soak her clothes in a pail of water. And she always add some Dettol or any kind of antiseptic solution overnight. And it helps. Even for people who suffers from Athelete's Foot. Just pour a little Dettol in a pail of water and soak the clothes overnight. Then wash them together with your normal clothes with some softener. That should help. Hang out in the sun to dry.

I guess I'd just ventilate. Leave cloths in a hanger outside for a couple of hours. Wind should do the job
