I was going out of control like that for awhile about every 3 weeks but I would hit my husband too. We have married 24 years and nothing ever happened like that and he wasn't doing anything to make me upset, I had a breakdown and at the time I was on Cymbalta an anti depressant which didn't help my situation at all. I got help from my Dr and a Therapist and I have been fine for months I take Effexor and use Xanax if I need it. Try to get her in to see someone. This isn't your fault she just doesn't know how to channel her emotions. I am still trying to get over the guilt of everything I did to my hubby and he is still with me and we love each other very much
Good Luck and don't give up on her she really does need you

I threw something at my ex-husband when he cheated on me :) I dont think I am mentally ill. But if she is throwing vases over having a bad day at work than I would say yes or at least VERY spoiled. Give an example of a situation.

If she just started breaking things for no reason maybe she needs help. If she was breaking things because maybe you provoked her she may need anger management classes. And if none of the above apply then she need to just stop breaking things.

Maybe. Anyone who starts breaking things when they are angry are out of control and probably should at least talk it over with their family doctor. I know, because I've been there.

It depends why she is getting angry and breaking stuff. Does she have good reason to be so worked up or is this anger just coming out of nowhere?

Talk to her and find out.
