Yes you can, you can also try adding ginger to it to give it a nice taste.

Being Vietnamese, I am raised eating rice everyday. I cook rice in a regular pot more than I do in a rice cooker and I always use water. Still, I don't see a problem with substituting chicken broth or beef broth for water in either circumstances just because broths are a liquid just like water is.

You shouldn't have any problem with the rice cooker cooking rice with broth instead of water, if that's what you're asking. When I cook rice, even in a rice cooker, I use a beef or chicken boullion cube dissolved in hot water to add taste (depending on what I'm serving the rice with). The rice cooker is easy to clean, even using broth. Hope this helps. Happy cooking! :-)

Sure you can. Perhaps the only secret is checking salt.
I'll give you my recipe for rice, and then you tell me.
Ingredients:
1) one cup of rice
2) 1/2 half chopped (very small) onion
3) 1 chopped (very small) garlic clove
4) 1 small cup from olive oil
5) 1 cup of white wine
6) 1 cup of water.
Steps:
1) Put a pan with olive oil at the fire
2) When oil gets hot put the chopped onion to brown (stir)
3) When onion gets tender (somehow transparent) add garlic
4) After one minute add the cup of rice. Brown it for a minute (stir)
5) Start adding wine and water so that rice keeps covered (wet) all the time.
6) Salt
7) Keep adding wine and water as rice grows (stir)
8) After 14 minutes put out the fire and put the lid on. Have the rice covered for one minute.
9) Eat.
Note: If you want to give more taste, add saffron. You may add
(and/or) paprika, (and/or) pepper.

Perfect question for me as I cook this all the time:
Two parts broth, one part water. If you need three cups of water to cook the rice as normal rice then use two cups of broth and one cup of water when making flavored rice.

If the cooker liner is OK for broth, then go for it. I love rice made with chicken broth.

I use it for rice stuffing every Thanksgiving- it works great. Try a 25 to 50% mix of broth to water.

in a rice cooker you have to use twice as much liquid as rice so for every cup of rice i 'd use 2 cups of broth no salt

Absolutely! It tastes great. But, it might end up being too salty unless you are using a low sodium broth. If it's regular, cut it with some water.

either broth will add more flavor than plain water. choose which one depending on what meat you're having with the rice.
