It probably won't even get sent to the post office to be sorted until Monday. Mail only goes out a couple fo times a week, if that.

it is perfectly normal, and best to just accept the fact now that you will not be able to communicate with him as often as you like.

He's probably in the reception center. People are only there a few days, then go to a company for basic training. . This is the usual case.

By the way, if the letter was mailed from South Carolina and you're in upstate NY, you won't see the letter before Tuesday.
Sorry,

The reception center is where new recruits go. Here, they are issued uniforms, undergo medical exams, etc., do paperwork. All troops go thru the reception center when they first enter active duty.

prolly not, military post offices usually add a day or two of time to everything even with stateside stuff. You really shouldn't expect the mail to be quick or that he be able to write a lot. Its tough to deal with but you adjust and get used to it. Hang in there.

Absolutely not. The military postal system is very slow until it gets into the US Postal system. And then you know how proficient they are.

it will take awhile to get to you. but you wont get it tomorrow.

it takes so long, bc it has to go through several different post systems. and everyone gets "withdrawals" from not being able to see their s/o. but just hang in there and stay busy, youll see him soon enough. welcome to the club, and good luck!
