Well because after a few centuries they realize the dragon is just a myth and Panda's are unique to China just like the Koalas, Kangaroos are special to Australia.

They are endangerous just like white tigers, if we didn't try to keep the numbers, we would loose them for no doubt! Pandas don't play important role in Chinese culture but in diplomatic use, China gave couple pairs of Pandas to US, Japan and do you know it is a lot of work to keep the Pandas alive!!!! They (the one in the zoo) only eat fresh bamboo leaves (which can mostly be found in the bamboo forest in Szechuan area, the homeland of Pandas) and they spend 11 to 14 hours on eating a day to keep up gaining enough energy for their huge bodies. China has to send fresh bamboo leaves by containers to wherever these big animals been sent to if those places don't have "food" for them.

We got two pandas here in Hong Kong Ocean Park, we also have fresh bamboo leaves sent from China too.

We love Pandas because they are unique and there is no where you can find this animal in other part of this world. They are peaceful, shy animals and don't you think they look so cute?

I personally also like those big cats (tigers, white tigers), beautiful animals, real charming, but I do not think that I can touch a wild white tiger..., but I hope in one day, I can touch a wild Panda, for sure I won't be its lunch!

Do you know only 1,600 pandas lives in the wild? It is one of the endangered species in the world. WWF even put giant panda as its symbol.

In Chinese culture, Panda is like a treasure of the country, not only because it is unique and rare in China, but also Panda’s character. Panda is gentle, cute and fun. That’s why people like panda very much.

Because they make good duck sauce packet pictures.(joke)

Because that's countries only habitat species, you won't find Pandas anywhere else ( they live off the bamboo branches) . They're also endangered.
