He didn't. Man created Satan as a form of control, just like hell. Man created marriage and says if your not married before sex, then you will go to hell. It's a control issue. Man is responsible for all the fears the world has. And remember, what you fear will come upon you.

Get spiritual, it's a higher power that you can actually do business with. Make your own religion, one that you understand. Break away from the crowds, and do your own thing. There is no hell, no Satan, only love and knowledge, visit the astral plane and see for yourself.

First of all the name "Satan" means adversary, his original name was "Lucifer" which means "lightbringer" in which he was the most beautiful angel God ever created, when he walked into the host of heaven none was greater than his except God who was unfathomably greater. God did not create him so that he would fall, but he did know that when he did create him he would fall, knowing doesnt mean making him. Lucifer, became prideful of his beauty and thought that he could overthrow God, or at least part of God's kingdom. He inticed a third of the anges to rebell with him who were under him. How, why it was allowed there are many threories - this is mine - you don't have to believe it or accept it - God is infinite in wisdom and knowledge, knowing the end from the beginning of all things. when He decided to create the Heavens and the earth and everything in them, He would send His Only Begotten Son into the world to die for it. This plan has always been and never was a 2nd thought. In the creation of Lucifer, he saw the glory, the power, the worship that Christ would receive when he became the Savior of the world. This he coveted, wanted, desired, for Christ in his own Love for the Father did not desire it, He had what He wanted that was the LOVE of the Father and this continuously so, yet Satan saw that Christ passed up the glory and coveted that for himself, so he became prideful, and wanting that position he fell from his lofty perch, to become the adversary the devil. So in the fullness of time Jesus came to destroy the devils work - sin.

God did not create Satan... it exists on its own from times immemorial. If we understand the crux of cosmic life all would become clear. The sum total of the whole Cosmos at any given point of time must always remain zero. If we have God at plus hundred... we also have Satan at minus hundred. If we have day... we also have night. If we have plus... we also have minus.

If we have fire... we also have water. If we have happiness... we also have sorrow! Everything in the cosmic system balances with the equal and opposite power. Satan is equal in power to god Almighty but with a negative power.

As in the physical world democracy (a positive power) always overrules communism (a negative power)... similarly God always overrules Satan in the end. In temporary phases sometimes Satan seems to overtake God Almighty but that is for very short intermittent periods only. In the present Kali Yuga phase of life (the metal age) when the dark forces of nature are in their peak... Satan practically rules the roost. Come Satyuga (the golden period)... it is the reign of God Almighty again. More on God - http://www.godrealized.com/god.html

When God created satan, that wasn't his name. Satan means destroyer. In the beginning he was named beautiful or something like that. So, all who were involved with the destruction of mankind is named satan. So the Spirit Dragon of the sky who possessed the Serpent in the tree, tricked mankind into getting the death sentence. So the Serpent is the Satan.

Satan is the destroyer of Gods creation...

Fatts,
The angels were created by GOD to serve HIM. satan was an angel. satan is the king of all lies so he was removed from heaven. He will be judged by Christ as we will at the judgment and will be sent to HELL for all of eternity. I hope that you are not intending to be there with him. Have a great weekend.
Thanks,
Eds

EDIT:
Jeanmarie,
You don't need to add anything to the BIBLE. GOD gave us all of the information that we need. What you add or take from the Bible is not scriptural or allowed according to HIS WORD. Read, study, and obey what HE has had written in it.
Thanks,
Eds, A Christian

Thre is no evidence that God created Satan, in fact, He cannot! Satan is an eternal angel that, through his own greed, fell to his demise. God has no part in sin, and cannot even be in the vacinity of a sinful entity. That's why we need a mediator.

He didn't He created free will and Satan chose evil. Without the choice there is no question of showing ones devotion and commitment and love. Love means free will God won't touch that.

All of Jehovah’s works are perfect; he is not the author of unrighteousness; so he did not create anyone wicked. (Deut. 32:4; Ps. 5:4) The one who became Satan was originally a perfect spirit son of God. When saying that the Devil “did not stand fast in the truth,” Jesus indicated that at one time that one was “in the truth.” (John 8:44) But, as is true of all of God’s intelligent creatures, this spirit son was endowed with free will. He abused his freedom of choice, allowed feelings of self-importance to develop in his heart, began to crave worship that belonged only to God, and so enticed Adam and Eve to listen to him rather than obey God. Thus by his course of action he made himself Satan, which means “adversary.”—Jas. 1:14, 15

Satan was at first one of God's angels in heaven. He and some other angels turned from God and were cast out of heaven. He wasn't created for evil, he just chose to be.

God created Satan but not evil. Satan rebelled and used his agency and knowledge to oppose God.
