I want to know why they slow once person gets old, what causes that.

no, because I have compassion for the elderly and respect them. people who are in the "autumn" of their lives should not have to be threatened or intimidated by young ignorant and self centered people. think about it.

Because when you get old your reflexes slow down...and you become afraid of the road.
I'm 34 and I'm more cautious now than when I was 20--especially since I have a child. But at least I still know which is the brake pedal! LOL

Nothing in particular causes it. Maybe it's because they're retired which A) means they're not rushing to work; or B) not trying to impress anyone.
I'm all for driving like an idiot and I do so whenever I get the slightest chance but I do not condone tailgating or putting anyone else in danger and you need to tolerate and respect people that are following the laws of the road.

No I don't. Getting pissed off while driving is a shortcut to an accident. I just back off and slow down.

You may be old too one day if your carefull. So in the mean time just appreciate the fact that the senior in your way needs to be understood and not persecuted because you are in a hurry to go nowhere. Just pass or get off his butt and have a good day.

Yes I do and I'm 55. The real mark of an old man slowing down is the old-style small brim hat (sometimes with small feather).

I don`t i have mellowed with age.
I think your mind slows just like metabolism. GETTING SOMEWHERE IN A HURRY ISN`T AS IMPORTANT.
My question back is if i get in the slow lane like i am suppose to, why do people still ride my tail?

Would you be in a hurry if you had nothing else to do with your time. Wisdom comes with age, but it should not make you slow.

Because we get smarter as we get older, and realize the young punks who think the older drivers are too slow are just crappy overconfident juveniles wasting expensive gas.
