Does it chafe? I don't like chain mail for that reason. Maybe he uses field plate, but then I don't think his followers could get their heads up their backsides with that.

Or is it just standard reinforced leather?

Ah why go with THAT god's armor? Why not ask your God, Zeus, to give you a bullet proof vest? You know Pagan Gods are more up with the times. ;-)

The armor of God is spiritual and received by faith. We have our feet shod with the preperation of the bible, the breast plate of righteousness,the belt of truth, the shield of faith & the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. Notice there is only one part that is offensive that is the sword of the spirit we also have the helmet of salvation to protect our minds. I pray that you consider that this is not a game but a battle for your soul. May God open your eyes so you can see & your ears so you can hear His voice

Enumerated by Paul, the armor, or "panoply," the Greek word rendered "armor" and weaponry are intended to prepare the Christian for "SPIRITUAL BATTLE."

Ephesians 6:13 So put on all of God’s armor. Evil days will come. But you will be able to stand up to anything. And after you have done everything you can, you will still be standing.
14 So stand firm. Put the belt of TRUTH around your waist. Put the armor of GODLINESS on your chest. 15 Wear on your feet what will prepare you to TELL THE GOOD NEWS of peace. 16 Also, pick up the shield of FAITH. With it you can put out all of the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Put on the helmet of SALVATION. And take the sword of the Holy Spirit. The sword is GOD'S WORD.

EPH 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the
power of his might.
6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
stand against the wiles of the devil.
6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
[places].
6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye
may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all,
to stand.
6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with
truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of
peace;

If you want the Truth.....ask a Pagan

It is spiritual dress to protect you from the influences and attacks of the world. Helmet of salvation; breastplate of righteousness; belt of truth; sword of the spirt which is the word of God; and my feet carry the gospel of Christ.
Sorry you feel it's a joke but if you put it on remarks like that just pass by.
It's just another provision God has given us, one of many

The armor of God is faith. No, it doesn't chafe. It does scare people like you.

It's in Ephesians chapter 5 I think. Ohh, memorizing the book of Ephesians. Good times!

I know that "girding our loins" is discussed. It's odd, girding. You don't gird your face or your feet. Why are loins the only thing that girded. What IS girding, anyway?
