"By placing souls in heaven and hell at death, you destroy the arguments Paul made for the resurrection." - William Tyndale

According to Scripture, we sleep first and when Jesus returns, the righteous dead are resurrected to enter the Kingdom. After the millennium, the wicked dead are resurrected to take their punishment of destruction.

Of course, you will have those who will point to the parable of Lazarus and the rich man or to Christ's words to the thief to say, "See? We go to heaven when we die." Unfortunately, the parable is just that, a parable that pointed out the pharisees' error in adopting the Greek philosophy of the immortal soul, the Scriptures proclaim that only Christ has immortality, and the comma in Jesus' words to the thief is in the wrong place. What Jesus really said is, "Verily I tell you today, you will be in paradise with me." We know that Jesus did not ascend to heaven until after his resurrection and the thief most likely did not die that day. Thus, the promise was made that day, not the fulfillment of the promise. After all, the gospels say that King David, a man after God's own heart, is still in his grave. The Berean Christian knows this and takes what the entire scripture says about the subject into account.

Hello, SexySam2:

If the saints go straight to heaven at death, then they forgot King David: Hebrews 2:29 Men [and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
Hebrews 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens….

Jesus said the resurrection is future: John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
John 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Seems to me that the Bible speaks clearly. There is a term in the tropical Americas: “Mas claro no canta un gallo.” That means a rooster could not crow any clearer.

Blessings, OneWay

Immediately

Jesus story of the rich man and Lazarus illustrates that it is immediate. Keep in mind hades and hell are not the same (revalation talks about hades being thrown into hell along with satan) So no one will occupy hell until after the judgement.

Those who die in Christ (ie Christians) go immediately to be present with the Lord Jesus. Christians are judged according to their works (gold, silver and precious gems versus wood, hay and stubble) at the judgment seat of Christ -this is where believers receive their rewards from Him. Our eternal destiny has already been decided prior to this judgment.

Revelation 20 describes the final, great white throne judgment that takes place after the millenial reign of Christ where all the dead, those who died apart from Christ are resurrected to be judged and sentenced.

i was just thinking about this the other day when you die i beilive yu go 2 the next life thats if yu believe in the astarl projection and the out of body expierence and clinic nda and all that but i think what it is saying in rev the dead in the grave will be caught up in the cloud and those who are left on earth will also be caught up
so i'm thinking those who are already dead are already in heaven

Grave <==hell+those who are in hell will be thrown in the lake of fire because it says second death

left on earth will be caught up<==those are the 1s living

so when you die you go on to the otherside

god bless

When you die you go to heaven or hell. If you lived for Jesus then you will go to heaven. If not then you will end up in hell

OH! This is a good one. We were discussing this in our bible class. Some say, the "judgment day" mentioned in the bible has already occured and the events mentioned are reguarding the battle with Titus in AD 70 and we are judged at death. Personally, I still believe in the traditional idea that there will be one judgment day for everyone and until then we remain asleep.

The Bible, says "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". So it sounds like a judgment right after death and another on Final Judgment Day.

we are here to make a choice, love back to father, dominion back here. The early christian fathers knew reincarnation was real (look up origen) paul and constitine decided it would be easier to control the masses if the belief was only one life one chance to get back to father. All opposing information was burned.
I believe in a god of unconditional love that created our souls with free will (not humans) in his likeness. many souls could not bear to leave fathers side for the loss of love. many souls went out and returned to share their adventures. Some souls rebeled wanted to be a god themselves. This place (earth system) WAS CREATED FOR THE SOUL TO MAKE ITS FINAL CHOICE. Do they really want to be a "little God and live in dominion=lordship over others. or return to father of love/fellowship/joy/sharing/ab... bliss.

What if heaven and hell are exactly the same except for one difference? What ever you picture in your head heaven to be, imagine hell to be the same except for one difference. Everything you can do in heaven you can do in hell except for one difference. The difference is love or dominion. If you choose love you are in heaven, you are sharing love/joy/fellowship, absolute bliss in all you do.

If you choose dominion you are in hell, everyone will be dominion bent, acting without regard to anything but personal pleasure, personal gain, exercising power over others. Everyman for himself in all that is done. Everything else is the same.

Now which path do/will you choose? LOVE or DOMINION

P.S. Doesn't hell feel a lot like earth?
P.S. S. If you choose dominion click on exit, there is nothing here for you.
