The Norwegian word for the fruit called Orange in English is APPELSIN.
Incidentally, the word for the English fruit Apple is EPLER.
In fact, are there any other languages that do actually associate the colour orange and the fruit of the same English name?

In Korean, the fruit orange is ì¤ë ì§ (orenji; an English loan word), while the color orange is 주í©ì (ju-hwang-saek).
In Spanish, the fruit orange is naranja, while the color orange is anaranjada.
In American Sign Langauge, the fruit orange would be ORANGE finger-spelled after signing the word fruit, while the color orange would be a fist squeezing motion in front of the mouth.
In Japanese, the fruit orange would be ãªã¬ã³ã¸ (orenji; an English loan word), while the color orange would be æ©è² (daidaiiro).

Spanish: Naranja for the fruit, anaranjado for the color. Still derived from the same word, but they are two different words.
