if you want to go to prom despite not even a date or any friends that are going, go. if you don't want to go, then don't. i didn't go to prom, i really don't think i missed anything. prom is blown way out off proportion. it's not a big deal

If you're thinking about doing it, then you are at the point where if you don't do it, you will regret it. So yes, you should go. As for having a date, ask a girl who you kind of know already, and make it very clear that it's just a friend-friend type of thing and very casual. If it's just a friend-friend thing, then the girl will be much more likely to say yes, and it will be more fun for you because you won't have to worry about the pressure of finding a date who you like and who is hot and blah blah blah.

Be there. I was lucky and got lots of offers and i was a jock etc. but my dumb self decided i didn't need to go. no big deal for a top athlete. i didn't care until i had a daughter and saw neices and others who didn't get asked. actually, i think there should be no proms. but since there is you gotta go. round up a cousin or somebody to take you in the front door. you will never wonder the rest of your life what it would have been like. i should have seen that my daughter went and saw she had date if he was a paid actor. her friends and classmates meant a lot to her. she just wasnt popular with the boys and too proud to ask. now i want to kick my own butt.

if u dont hav anything specail to do in satureday night i think u should go to prom may be u will not get fun as much as u hope but who cares may be u can find a kool date there but dont drink anyway
this is all abt oppourtunity cost if u dont hav other things to do at that time no point of hugging the pillow and sleeping

Yes go! You don't have to have a date. Besides, you'll probably have more fun than those that DO have a date. You are free to mingle and talk to more people.
You won't be the only one there without a date and you'll have a great time with your friends.

well by your avatar I assume you are a girl so ya go you will more the likely find someone at the prom to dance with or some girls who are all dances with each other because their dates don't feel like it
some people don't feel like going and don't but if you want to but are hung up on these examples then go

sure you should . i am sure that you will have fun . take some
alcohol with you maybe some pot relax have a ball . i am sure that when your all dressed up lots of the guys will ask to dance with you and you will remember this dance prom for the rest of your life.
oh take a camera as well . not an expensive one maybe two of the disposable ones . i hope you have a blast .

No. The whole point of prom is bringing a date and making him pay for all of your sh!t. But since you have friends, you should go. I had NO date and NO friends, so that's why I didn't go. You have the latter, so go.

Absolutely.... Who cares if you don't have a date. There will be plenty of other people in the same boat and it your last hoorah before you leave school so enjoy and mingle and maybe you will meet someone there. Good luck:)
