Why is the "proof" of 'god' always through indirect means?

"The book says so," someone else says so, something is too complicated or beautiful therefore 'god' did it and is "proof"...

I would think there would be SOME form of direct first-person, er deity, evidence given to support 'his' existence if he's so hell bent on us believing in 'him' or else.

Yes, May... outside, the universe...yes, those are the kinds of indirect "evidence" I'm talking about.

Where is the direct stuff that is real if it's so real? Maybe it's not there because it's not real?

These miracles prove beyond any reasonable doubt God exists. They demonstrate Christ's power over life and death and the forces of nature. Only a God can have such powers.

And if these miracles were just made up, Christianity would not have grown by leaps and bounds in the first century. His disciples would not have risked their lives for a bunch of lies. Many people witnessed these miracles. The resurrection of Jesus cannot be silenced because more than 500 people saw his resurrected body. (1 Corinthians 15,6)

If you have to ask this question you are already lost.

Do you doubt someone made your computer? No, Yet you have never met him.

Do you doubt someone made your car? No yet you have never met him.

Do you doubt someone made all the electronics and such you own? No, because you know that those things are two complex to just show up. You don't need to see that person to know.

That is the test. Belief without seeing. Being able to see the world around and listen to the light in your heart. For me I can see the proof all around me. The complex systems that work with each other. The Fact that the Gravity is at just the right level. More and we would be crushed, Less and we would float away. If you have to see God you have failed because when you do your time is up and it is already to late.

You want God to speak to you. You think that somehow you deserve proof. But even if he did look you straight in the eye, you would not know. Because you are blind. You do not see the earth around you, or the signs that God has placed here for you. So what makes you think you could see him. If you seek God he will give you all the proof you need. I have seen proof of him in more ways that I can mention. But I seek him. You choose to seek to prove he does not exist. That is what they call a self fulfilling prophecy.

You don't want God. So he will not be there for you. You are blind until that day when he will make you see.

That's cos' he's not there!, so there's no such deity or other - also, try totally "Contradictory means".....I question not only God, but any God who would allow, as an example, a busload of his youthful and loyal followers perish in a flood, and would allow dictators, gangbangers, rapists and murderers to live long and in many cases 'unchecked'. To the one who has no proof that ther e is no God, kindly prove to me that mind don't exist.... you can't.

As to no direct proof, it simply doesn't exist. I've never seen a missing limb regrown at a prayer circle. I've never seen anyone come back from the dead after being dead for days. When Christ said that his disciples would perform greater miracles, I would have expected them to continue. Should I see that, I might consider it evidence.

Belief in God is a matter of Faith. If it were absolutely and directly provable - then it would no longer be Faith. Faith itself is a gift from God. If you have it, and believe and act upon that believe, then you will be saved... but I digress - your question was not about salvation. God is supernatural - that is - He is beyond (super) nature. experience is the best proof-and Jesus is my savior and best friend-you argue against and experience-that is like one saying there is no such thing as an airplane -when another is telling about taking a flight on an airplane in thier travel.

yes Jesus is real but you gotta recieve "He that rejects my words the same shall be judged by them in the last day." when you wake up in heaven or hell weeping forever and decide its time to believe -it will be too late. And even if you could then-you would have missed a life of joy in the creator with Jesus your best friend in salvation.

Because many Christians/Religious types are only willing to follow. If a book is said to have a higher power/enlightenment, than it does, no questions asked. If the "higher book" says there is a God and this is his story, do as it says, than that is the answer, no questions asked.
