Is your cat throwing up also. With all of the recalls on pet food, if it is throwing up also, please call emergency vet.
I got this out of a cat food cookbook. I hope it works.
15. DIARRHEA CURE
Rice, uncooked, 1/2 cup
Consommé, 1 can
Turkey leg, 1 large
Water, 2 cups
Boil the whole works until the meat falls off the bone. Allow to cool and
cut the meat into very small pieces. Feed about two tablespoons per
cat several times a day.
This is a legit recipe that came out of that book. If you do not have this stuff, I know I don't without going to the store, Take something out of the cabinet. Can cat food, tuna(well drained, or a can of chicken (well drained). Something your cat will eat and mix it with cooked rice. More rice than food. Rice is the best cure that I know of, without going to the vet. I do suggest that if after 24 hours, your kitty still has the runs, that you call the vet for help.

You need to take the cat to the vet. Switching the food can create diarrhea by itself. But until you get to the bottom of the issue, you will just be shooting in the dark. The first thing to do is take the cat for an exam, and bring a sample of the diarrhea with you. The techs can check it for parasites, which is the number one cause of diarrhea. DO NOT try to worm your cat with over the counter medication. It does not work and can be dangerous. If it is not parasites, you will have to have further testing done on your cat. Bloodwork should be done on your cat. Chemistries and a CBC (Complete Blood Count). Cats can develop diseases that can cause chronic diarrhea. You need a vet to help you get a handle on this.

If your cat had had diarrhea for more than 24-48 hours it needs to see a vet. It could be a million diffent things and half of them are life threatening.

If your cat is having diarrhea most likely is the food you are feeding it is to rich for it's system. (don't feed human food and no Milk) You need to find a cat food that is gentle on it's stomach. Try calling your vet and tell him the situation he should be able to help.

First get a cork. Seriously cats do not tolerate diarrhea well Take her to the vet. If Cats get dehydrated there kidneys shut down and they can die rather quickly from this.
