My father once bought a Ford from Hertz that had served a two-year stint as a rental; it was the best deal he ever made.
Most rental agencies take better care of their vehicles than private owners; they have more frequent maintenance, including lube, oil changes, tire rotation, brakes and even coolant maintenance
If you have a choice, go for the one with the longer warranty.

I would NOT buy rental returns. Simply because people who used those cars used them as if they don't own them. (and they didn't!) While cars are made tough these days, a lot can be done to them in 15km/27km.

Be careful with warranties. Some manufacturers do not warrant their vehicles the same way they do for privately owned cars, when they are used for rental or commercial services. Your registration will clearly show they were for rental.

What is the price of a brand new one? If only a couple thousand different, might as well buy a new one.

The good part on these 2 cars are they are still under warranty. If possible, get a mechanic to go with you, just to double check.

The cars have a good history of maintenance and they were cared for. The drivers that used them, will be a crap shoot. But for the most part, it is businessmen who have to travel.

I have bought rental cars before and have not had any troubles with them.

I'm not sure about the prices on these particular cars, you will have to be the judge on these. Shop around, they may come down on the price.

You really want to buy a rental?

Dont be stupid, rental cars take so much abuse, the savings of $1000 now, will only cost you thousands later.... i can honestly say that ive never treated a rental car as my own... ever went off-roading in a cadillac?

my dad bought a out of service rental with just over 30k on it, got it cheap, put 70k more on it, sold it for about 80% what he paid 5 years earlier.
