I have been looking at the compact Kodak Easyshare v803 at best buy. However I like the special color options and what not available on the canon cameras, they are just a little pricy. Does anyone have any suggestions or pointers. Perhaps a cheaper camera with the same features?

I bought a Z650 Kodak at Bestbuy for 198.
Great camera with high zoom and 6 mp. Lots of features

Consider the Canon PowerShot A630. It has 8 megapixels, 4X optical zoom, and takes AA rechargeable batteries. According to Website dpreiew.com can be bought for about $220-

I would say the Fuji F31fd is an alternate you should consider:

Honestly, Kodaks are not my favorite.
