Keep yourself busy by doing something else. Do anything you enjoy. Take a walk, call a friend, go shopping, keep your mind busy with something else so you don't think of eating.

You really have to address the issues of why you eat when you're not hungry to stop it effectively...
It may be as simple as boredom or as complicated as depression. There will be an underlying issue.
Mine was boredom and I just took up Kung Fu which meant that I had something that I enjoyed doing that I could do anywhere at any time that I was bored.

When you are not hungry, you just wanted to snack on something. You can either
- drink something (no soft drinks)
- take some healthy snacks like salad
- take a sweet or chewing gum

Drink water whenever you feel hungry, or eat a snack that's not heavy, like rice cakes or pretzels.

Keep drinking water as it makes you feel bloated, otherwise, you can eat fruits which have plenty of juice in them like apples, pear....
