I read recently that close to 90 percent of Americans polled say they believe in God, but not all are Christians or practice their "faith" or attend church.
Besides the 90% there are the other religions, atheism included. Yeah...it's a religion.

I am a spiritual person and choose not to fall back into the pit of Organized Religion.
There are more people who have a faith and belief that are not religious, and who may claim the faith of a specific Sect.
Good luck in you search and try a deeper one then just this forum.

You can't work out the percentage of religious people from this question!
You can work out the percentage of people who answered it but that wouldn't be a true figure.
Oh PS I'm not religious.

It is unlimited really.... it is hard to find the exact percentage of each religion as there are so many!!
I'd imagine Muslim and Christian are more widely practised type of religion but I could be wrong!

I have heard that it's 97% but that was a few years ago and it includes people of all faiths. The 3% would be athiests....but as i said that was a few years ago.

I practice Krishna Consciousness. I am spiritual which is beyond mundane religion. You can change your faith but you can not change the fact that every one is an eternal servant of God. Weather they are an atheist or agnostic (serving Gods material illusion) or a devoted servant. Everything is a part of God either God or Gods energy. So everyone is serving God knowingly or unknowingly Consciously or Unconsciously

Well, I think nearly everyone in America practices Christianity a little (i.e. Easter, Christmas). But, these are the only two days a year they practice their "faith".
